Maybe the admins saw that the game was dying off so figured they could get a few more donate code sales by killing off Penta for a rule that would see a lot of familys punished as what happens when a fam is downed suddenly all the ranks are taken in by a friendly family, this would be a breach of the sister family rule in the admins eyes.

If you are in that PoV, its till dumb to down the merge family. Its too late, if admins determined these fams were sisters they should have downed each of them long ago. Merged family by technicality can't be sister

It's ultra hard to create rules in a mafia game... Mafia themselves went that way because they don't want to play by the rules... To some people pacting is interesting and winning like that version after version. To some it is bot. Given that this is a game, I'm looking forward to see new 1-on-1 war system... It's going to bring a new joy into the game.. For example, something that Krays did for themselves early in this version..
Anyway...

Family made it by people, and admins punish "family" not people who make that family. That says enough about admins and policy. They just want more money from people. If someone break the rule, that is player with account, it is not family. So punish that players, who make that, not family. This game goes nowhere. Admins see that is game locked, and dont doing anything. They did not announce lockdown, and now they will let to 2 families to dictate this game.

Andronova LD and Penta were each different family. Tops clearly knew each other and took same sides on war. But people in those family didn't know each other mostly new recruits. Each had differetn channel for communications.
Merge by its definition can't be sister family, that is what I am saying is wrong. Alatriste and Unexpected may be sisters (I would argue not but its a long time since that and won't discuss more) so they can be downed. But when they merged as Andronova it can't be a sister family now. It is the correct way to go from start.

It wasn't intentional, Batavia downed LD and famless Anarchy hijacked Andronova. So during war as a pact they took refuge in Pentagram, only family standing. It wasn't one of our intentions to merge. During war it was done to recollect people, starting a new family was possibility too but harder to grind Family capacity to get everyone back. Since every family does this when they get downed in wars there shouldn't be problem, only ours was larger in numbers and it pulled more attention.
Also last version 3 families merged and got HOF at the end of the version. So if crew does anything it is inconsistent.
Also even if we were all sisters, merge was the correct move. Merge doesn't have an advantage it is the default way to go. Just like how it happened with Alatriste and Unexpected, Crew deemed them as sisters, downed them a merge happened and now its correct with the rules. So even if Penta LD and Andronova was sisters, they merged and it is correct with rules

Overall downing Penta was not a stretch or some bending of rules. Lets not forget Ilteber is a sister family also.

Admins are really worthless. They are meeting regularly about how to fuck this game and they managed it. Most important thing is bulletprices. They made this game p2w. I think you misunderstand both the rules and why they were taken down. This was the correct move. I have no interest in either side.
