A long speculated breakup between the 4 major fams working closely and successfully since the start of the version.

If you are in that PoV, its till dumb to down the merge family. Its too late, if admins determined these fams were sisters they should have downed each of them long ago. Merged family by technicality can't be sister

Look at it this way yesterday Obay had very few DC on today there are a lot more 1/3 codes showing the admins have won. A game that was almost at an end has become a stalemate with lots of ranks most prob out of bullets and new fams springing back up.

Maybe the admins saw that the game was dying off so figured they could get a few more donate code sales by killing off Penta for a rule that would see a lot of familys punished as what happens when a fam is downed suddenly all the ranks are taken in by a friendly family, this would be a breach of the sister family rule in the admins eyes.

I think you misunderstand both the rules and why they were taken down. This was the correct move. I have no interest in either side.
I understood the rules correctly do I think it was right Penta taking in so many Brugs no, you could find some resemblance of the sister family rules in loads of instances if you looked.
'They had the sister behaviour' they where fighting against the same familys and this holds true when they did it with Reganto and 'They merged' it was the simplest thing to do Penta had space and lots of Brugs had become Famless due to a Hijack.
