I don't think you should hate anyone.. What is wrong with you people? Get a hug or something..
The families I don't want to see up are the ones who close down entire cities and don't let new families start up. That's ruining the game.. It's the biggest reason the active player base drops off dramatically after every war.
As for blooding someone who started shooting you 12 hours before.. Sometimes you see that it was a setup and the instigators are not participating. That's when you do what Aeterna and Illuanna did and shoot the ones who instigated the confusion. Naturally, you don't trust the family that just shot you to cooperate until you've shaken hands and come to an agreement (that's how Aeterna and Illuanna ended up as bloods). It pissed some of our members off.. But Aeterna and Illuanna are both still around, waiting for reset. It must have payed off.

You dont have to be enemies for versions, but blooding somebody that shoots you in same version is just GAY. There are some families that don't have any self-respect and can take any gay action just to stay alive, but i didnt see any of them winning a version. Illuanna is another example for that.

How about samagono who started shooting at in between wars? How about magnifico and younovese who started shooting at them later on? Also you seem to claim it is easier when you get countered. While in the end it was often a lot harder for them because they were badly damaged and got countered at by families multiple times their size. Completely different than receiving a couple of shots from the family your shooting at.
Also you say you couldn't counter due to bloods etc, it indeed seems to me illu had blooded quite some families. How can a family count on you guys to back them up? Maraz blooded in such fashion they do were able yo counter for their bloods. This even counts for jannisary who helped out their bloods several times. In total jannisary also has more wars and more members in their group. Thing is, I don't think Illu did bad, but you try to say they did better than others while in fact they only came into action 2 times (with big groups) and defended once by blooding your opponent. It's not bad gameplay, I just believe others did better and/or played more spectacular.

Marazzino is the only top 5 family that never had to play defense. They had a pretty cushy ride.
Illu had been on defense once? By your logic you'd pretty much crown Aeterna winner of the version. They've been under fire every war and in between the official wars. You could almost say every day for weeks. Yet they survived, kept attacking and are #1 on the scores of war.
Yet Aeterna aren't the winners of this version. I believe it's jannisary or marazzino. It is not Marazzinos fault they never got attacked, while they did attack and counter for their bloods. Illu participated but didn't seem to lead this version. Nothing that distinguishs them from the other families alive so to say. (Which is fine, you also finished the version, don't see this as an offensive post, it's just my humble opinion)
By my logic? I said defense.. Not counter fire. Yes, Aeterna took plenty of counter fire during their wars. But when did they actually get shot without already being involved in a war?
If you think getting shot at is tough, we all got shot at every war. No legit family takes a shooting and doesn't counter a little. I'm talking about getting shot with no plan of shooting. That is a defensive war.
Siberia had to play defense once.
Lusa had to play defense once.
Trafficante had to play defense twice, but I don't know that their one brug lost to Kurosawa was something to lose sleep over.

Illuanna was attacked by the #3 and #4 family, and we took 16 of their brugs while losing 16 of our brugs. I think that's an accomplishment worth mentioning. I think that's why they [Aeterna and Marazzino] were willing to make bloods with us. We didn't roll over and die without a fight.
