Next to that, another reason could be the fact Aeterna has been involved in 7 out of 9 wars total? Because they were shot at in every counter?
I challenge you to create a family and volunteer to get countered at every time there is a war, I'm sure you won't end #1. :) There are families that never get countered on. There are always families that are hardly ever in war at all. It's a lot easier to not lose your members when you're not being shot on all the time.

Marazzino is the only top 5 family that never had to play defense. They had a pretty cushy ride.
Illu had been on defense once? By your logic you'd pretty much crown Aeterna winner of the version. They've been under fire every war and in between the official wars. You could almost say every day for weeks. Yet they survived, kept attacking and are #1 on the scores of war.
Yet Aeterna aren't the winners of this version. I believe it's jannisary or marazzino. It is not Marazzinos fault they never got attacked, while they did attack and counter for their bloods. Illu participated but didn't seem to lead this version. Nothing that distinguishs them from the other families alive so to say. (Which is fine, you also finished the version, don't see this as an offensive post, it's just my humble opinion)
