Omerta has been resetted once more. But we can't say it was without any troubles.

People have been mass joining #help to complain about not receiving any donation codes.

Donations seem to be working again. Some people who donated via PayPal might have received their DCs via email instead of ingame messages.

Crime/Car timers when running lackeys be 2/10 minutes respectively? Still allows for RP to be gained when sleeping/afk but allows for an advantage with those who play the game. well first start the discussion that you loose your lackey credits bougt with rl cash at end of a version, that is just pathetic if you ask me ..

It's pretty clear when a version is almost over, don't buy DC and add credits near the end of a version :P If they changed it so credits carry over, people would simply blow all their cash on obay DCs and max out credits before the start of a version. Provides an advantage over players who are just starting out the following version. People basically do that anyway, just over IRC.

If there was a fair and easy way to distinguish whether you bought the DC with your own account for real-life money and have those credits carry over, that would be nice. But I doubt they can easily distinguish between credits on your account.

Facebook likes? really? No comment.

Anyway, I would be kinda curious how much money Omerta Ltd. made or lost on that X-Com clone you guys released as a PC version of your game.
Shortly after the invention of lackeys, you must have had an enormous income - esp. compared to now. You could have used that money to fund the app development, instead of coming back like 5 years later as beggar desperate to extract more money from your disappointed customers.

Instead you chose to do nothing for years.

Gebruikers in leven: 1,542 .nl
Brukere i live 1,884 .pt
Yasayan Kullanici: 2,372 gen.tr

So here we got 8,671 accounts.. Also what brando fails to inform is that several of these "8-10k players" are the same persons. If I make a account on each version, am I then 4 persons, or am I one person, Brando? There is a difference between registrated players and unique players. What about dupes? (here you will prolly say that there aint people who dupe anymore, and then I'll tell you to get real.) Also, registrated users doesn't really show much about the playerbase.


Lets set the unactive-but-still-playing-some bar at Thief: Then .com got 1500-1600 people, pt 1000-1100 (given that the version is 2 months old, so most likley some duplicate accounts) gen.tr got about 1600 and .nl got 900-1000. So we got about 5k accounts bothering to rank to thief...(And again, not unique players as both .pt and gen.tr are going for 2 months, so each time someone died and rebirthed they will count as 2, not 1 and so on etc etc.)

So lets say out of these 5,000 people about 3500-4000 are unique users, but before you can find out how many it really is you gotta remove the dupes from this (akilled users above thief are also counted in here, and omerta kinda suck at catching dupes who aint on open proxies).

So on a good day I'd say Omerta got about 2500 to 3500 active users. That is a bit less than 8000 to 10000 as Brando tells us. 50k facebook likes? Your main facebook page got 13,419 likes, omerta tr 10,394 omerta pt 3816, omerta nl 872, omerta .dm 947. Might be some more pages, so lets say 35,000 likes on facebook. Never crossed your mind that someone who likes .com might also happen to press like on .tr or .pt also? And what does likes on facebook prove? That you bought advertisement to get likes? That people who doesn't play, nor have any intrest in playing again once liked your page?


And alas, the "2mil emails". I pray to god you really don't have them stored in a archive, given that omerta have been hacked, and will prolly get hacked again in the future and storing such on a high-risk server might not be morarly wise, or legaly wise.


But I still wish you the best of luck with your app, I just want you to stop making numbers up to make the game look more popular than it really is.

Well, those dupes still require to do crimes/car/bn to reach higher ranks. If you run enough dupes, you cannot do this manualy and that will require lackeys.

WHAT?!? Voodoo math at work? IF you count all the user of every version and after each reset seperately, maybe you can come up with such a number.

2 mil real email addresses. Quod erat demonstrandum as a lawyer would say. I better do not ask how those 2 mil email addresses come into being. Archives of long gone users? If so, I have serious legal concerns regarding data security and data protection, giving the companies record. And even if I was right about how those 2 mil real email addresses came into being, I am quite sure there are quite few spam mails account among those, so that the real number of actual people is way below 2 milion. Facebook likes? really? No comment.

Anyway, I would be kinda curious how much money Omerta Ltd. made or lost on that X-Com clone you guys released as a PC version of your game.
Shortly after the invention of lackeys, you must have had an enormous income - esp. compared to now. You could have used that money to fund the app development, instead of coming back like 5 years later as beggar desperate to extract more money from your disappointed customers.

Instead you chose to do nothing for years.

So here we got 8,671 accounts.. Also what brando fails to inform is that several of these "8-10k players" are the same persons. If I make a account on each version, am I then 4 persons, or am I one person, Brando? There is a difference between registrated players and unique players. What about dupes? (here you will prolly say that there aint people who dupe anymore, and then I'll tell you to get real.) Also, registrated users doesn't really show much about the playerbase.


Lets set the unactive-but-still-playing-some bar at Thief: Then .com got 1500-1600 people, pt 1000-1100 (given that the version is 2 months old, so most likley some duplicate accounts) gen.tr got about 1600 and .nl got 900-1000. So we got about 5k accounts bothering to rank to thief...(And again, not unique players as both .pt and gen.tr are going for 2 months, so each time someone died and rebirthed they will count as 2, not 1 and so on etc etc.)

So lets say out of these 5,000 people about 3500-4000 are unique users, but before you can find out how many it really is you gotta remove the dupes from this (akilled users above thief are also counted in here, and omerta kinda suck at catching dupes who aint on open proxies).

So on a good day I'd say Omerta got about 2500 to 3500 active users. That is a bit less than 8000 to 10000 as Brando tells us. 50k facebook likes? Your main facebook page got 13,419 likes, omerta tr 10,394 omerta pt 3816, omerta nl 872, omerta .dm 947. Might be some more pages, so lets say 35,000 likes on facebook. Never crossed your mind that someone who likes .com might also happen to press like on .tr or .pt also? And what does likes on facebook prove? That you bought advertisement to get likes? That people who doesn't play, nor have any intrest in playing again once liked your page?


And alas, the "2mil emails". I pray to god you really don't have them stored in a archive, given that omerta have been hacked, and will prolly get hacked again in the future and storing such on a high-risk server might not be morarly wise, or legaly wise.


But I still wish you the best of luck with your app, I just want you to stop making numbers up to make the game look more popular than it really is.
