The Lusa family just got taken down after it's Don (and sotto who tried an escape to Tijana) got a-killed.
Many people are questioning the motives behind this a-kill, one of the admins had the following to say:
Ascii is not killed due to personal account abused, he found a bug in the system so his capos benefitted of it
that's why he got an akill, we will not revive the accounts he killed but we will discuss a compensation otherwise
Also some CD's (maybe all of them) from Lusa got demoted to Local Chief, so these accounts took advantage of the bug as well. The bug supposedly is used by more than just Lusa, it's just the fact that the CD's haven't demoted to Bruglione when having an empty regime, since they didn't do any manual action. Thus giving them the account strenght nessecary to survive.
The official revive rule states that people will only get revived if they have been killed within 3 days before the a-kill of their shooter, which for many of the gangsters comes too late.
How do you feel about this? Should the revive policy need a review? Should the person that fired over 2,5 million bullets and devestated so many accounts get a different punishment?

They knew that this bug would give them an advantage else they wouldnt have bothered using it. Wether this bug is only visual or not doesnt matter anymore since they took advantage of it. Called bug abusing....

Although this wave of bug abuse is clearly a crock of turd to anyone who knows anything about Omerta, both in regards to it being a bug (it isn't) and in regards to it being abused (it wasn't). The determining factor in deciding whether or not something which is reported gets looked into is based on a vast array of circumstances. Unfortunately for the players, the primary, and most important component when deciding upon the validity of a complaint is usually how a particular admin is feeling at the time of reporting.
I've reported bugs in the past and seen nothing done about them for many versions, not until the stars align and an admin with any level of responsibility shows up and decides that this is their moment, their time to shine...this will be the hour they actually attempt to do their job, investigate something and fix it. This is a respectable effort, thought it is more often than not replaced with a half arsed, 'we'll look into it', or a much more reliable, 'we'll pass that information along'. And then there are these times where someone clearly hasn't been paying attention to the game for the last year or so, whips out their Barafranca punishment flowchart without any context whatsoever and decides to make the entire crew look like amateurish arseholes.
As much as you might want to believe it's because you're Lusa, it isn't. It's fundamentally more broken than that. It's laziness, it's a lack of understanding of the game they're in charge of, it's a lack of attention and most importantly it's an incorrect attitude towards the players.

And then there are these times where someone clearly hasn't been paying attention to the game for the last year or so, whips out their Barafranca punishment flowchart without any context whatsoever and decides to make the entire crew look like amateurish arseholes.
As much as you might want to believe it's because you're Lusa, it isn't. It's fundamentally more broken than that. It's laziness, it's a lack of understanding of the game they're in charge of, it's a lack of attention and most importantly it's an incorrect attitude towards the players.

While I appreciate your praise on my rhetoric, I disagree on the skills part. I'm not the best player in this game, but I'm pretty good. If relying on another account's production is your idea of skills, then leave me out of it. If you're one who can build a top 20 account just by what you can produce with your own account, then congratulations - You're the same as me.

i think solution is to let this version last until admins fix all major bugs and find a solution for dupers, pushers, money trades, stop giving advantage to offline accounts, update wiki with all information about rules, etc...
Then i think next version can be called new version... and maybe more players will come...and maybe with all those old/new players that would come would be possible to ban lackeys also since more players means more money to support the game...
this is a constructive post with the intention to start gathering all good ideias from ppl around (enemies or not) that like to play this game so please avoid to call me n00b (wich everyone knows i am already :p).

Last week, the defense was "we're not cheating because we haven't been admin killed". This week, it's "we got admin killed even though we were not cheating".

True story:
Last year I daily took a train to school. To ride on a train isn't free.
But I never paid for my ride and I never got checked.
In the first weeks of this year I continued this behaviour, but I got checked if I had a ticket.
I didn't have one, so I got penalized for riding without a ticket.
As you can understand I am now mightily pissed, because last year I never got checked and penalized for this!
