Yeah it's apparently 2 crimes per 0,01% rp, meaning that 1 dc can get you 30% rank progress from crimes alone. I don't know when diminishing returns kick in (when you get tired), but the theoretical maximum (if crimes are sill 90s) is 1080 crimes a day. My account is 1 month old and has about 20k crimes, but has had a day or 2 where it wasn't running, so I end up with about 600-700 crimes a day. In other words: for me it would mean that I lose about 30% rankprogress each 10 days if I turn crimes off, or 100% brug over the course of a month. 100% brug RP at the cost of 15-18m $ / month seems like a pretty fair deal to me.

Has anyone worked out some math to see if turning the crimes on while using lackeys is worth it as brug?

I don't know the current amount of rankprogress you get per crime, but back in the day it was a rather minor % if you'd go from 0% brug to 100% brug. Also moneywise it seems to be on par at best i.e. amount of money you gain per crime relative to the amount of cost per crime (current obay price for a dc / 6000). Example: if you get 6k credits from a donation code, and a donation code costs 5m, each crime needs to net you 833 gold to be break even. Seems quite high and not really worth it to me, definitely when you don't get a lot of RP from crimes.

I'm pretty cool with the idea that I sent 2 txt messages that got me to brug, with bullets and everything trained to the max - without having to worry about adminkills and whatnot. While it didn't took more than a few hours of my time over the course of 2 weeks. Value for money I'd call that. On top of that I can continue with legal scripting for free the rest of the version, as all it takes is buy a DC from the auction house with money the script made for you.

My point being: I gladly accept that they fuck up now and then when in return I get quite a lot and peace of mind (if you script illegally you often hand out your password, you risk adminkills, etc ...) for hardly any money.

Provided this is a one time fluke and it's not going to be a recurring issue, I don't think it's that big of a deal.

So you are basically pretending to be nostradamus while you apply a simple principle that ihas been true for pretty much every omerta reset:
- a couple of strong families on top (strong in terms of numbers)
- below a bunch of families that don't like it
- a bunch of families that decide that staying out of trouble is their best chance for long term success
- all families considering their options

It's just a logical evolution that they allow scripting. No one in his right mind is going to play 16 hours a day a monotone ranking up game that requires each minute 1 action, over and over again. This when the chance that you have to start over from scratch lays not in your own hands, and can occur while being offline. Without scripts the game would 've been totally dead. And believe me, it's only going to be a matter of time before they remove the utterly retarded 1 account per player rule. As it doesn't make sense whatsoever, nor have they any means to check it (yeah they can check the stupid).

What would be wrong with each one having multiple accounts? It adds a lot of depth to the role play factor, as you can go undercover with one identity, play with your friends on another identity etc ... backup yourself during a war, but also having to watch out for the surprises the competition brings to the table.

I enjoy the way I play now: turn on lackeys, do what I do every day, and see how your char progresses. And it doesn't take more than 10 minutes a day. And when there is a war I can at least participate. Something I could not do if I was to play an hour a day without the lackeys/script, I'd be still be a shoplifter.

For too long people have falsely believed that 'skill' in omerta is determined by how many mindless/repetitive clicks per hour you can make. Allowing multiple toons per player would totally shift away from that and make it a true role playing game.

People are drunk and sms'ing anyways on NY eve, so I figured I'll let them send 20 sms for dc's anyways. Turn on and never look back. Aiming for 100 recruits that I can enslave o/
