cdtc isn't based on hp's but famworth these days. We did the hp trick in Quirites last version; around 20k hp gives you dets for $1 on 99% of your targets. Having 2 sisters we had a totall of 3 gf that could hire dets all day long if they wanted to. Benefits: you could hire on whole fams if you expected a war comming to check their movements (b/n runs vs obvious hometown hanging) and in war times simply your strongest accounts have all targets available to shoot instantly and it comes in handy to hunt a specific target with 1000 dets/hr that might be in sh for several hrs aswell ...

That's quite a benefit then, and more than a genuine reason to ask/demand your members to send hp's to the don. Cheers for clarifying that.

Maybe they wanna track movement of certain people throughout the day, maybe they wanna stalk BF owners. There are more possible reasons to it then just the "hire detecs in war time".

My reply was more aimed at the 'we can hire dets cheaper' than the 'our don can hire dets cheaper'. Since you stated that they were doing it for individuals rather than for the cdtc that (used to) benefit the whole guild. I don't know if cdtc still gives you cheaper dets.

They aren't actually talking about the cheaper detecs due to CDTC rank. They are talking about HPs = cheaper detecs to hire, that's where the difference comes from if you hire detecs on 2 different people.
For example you have 3k HPs, the first target has 6k HPs and the second has 1k HPs. Base amount of detecs is $2000 each, the first target will become more expensive than $2000(has more HPs than you), the second target will become cheaper than $2000 for each detec.
So HPs aren't just cosmetic, they still have a purpose.

While personally, Im not a fan of asking members to send Honor Points to a specific person in the game, I find nothing wrong with reminding members how important it is to send HPs to the Don and the benefits it can achieve. Furthermore, it is MUCH more responsible then demanding they be sent or mass duping in order to get your Don to #1. ;)

I never had dupes, I had alts. Dupes sounds so illegal. And it's only a matter of time before brando will officially allow multiple accounts. For the simple reason that it adds a lot of fun and depth to the gameplay, it generates a lot of money and cause he has no way to enforce the current dumb rules. Just like he developed his own official script, a move that was supported by many players, including those who once frowned upon my playstyle.
Regardless of that, I'm still playing wow hardcore, no worries. Some things never change you know. Just like you were always full of shit, are still full of shit and will always be full of shit.

If you are talking about those 2.7 versions (there were 2 iirc) and you want to glorify them, please bear in mind that I had a shitload of high ranked scripted accounts myself, specifically in those 2 versions. Including a bunch of them in other families. On top of that there was a way to hijack the session of players and do fun stuff like turning off their BF. Think I hijacked yama like 5 times that round as well as vinci.
Just saying that you have to see those rounds in a very specific context before drawing conclusions, but then again, 100's of other players were on the fignon script as well.
