As many people are screaming for a reset, the ROM hasn't even been opened yet. With the resets of .nl and .dm around the corner, are admins turning a blind eye towards .com? Who knows! Rumors say the reset of .com is delayed so more dc's will be bought once .nl/.dm are up and running for a while, but ofcourse these are just wild speculations.

I`m trying to get a fair settlement for all of us.
I personally rebirthed 3 times with a true account to prove it`s possible to "come back".
I killed lame accounts, within families, with a purpose.
I don`t regret and I`m happy to see that other players get aware of the fact they`re misused by a handfull of key players. They are here and will keep on trying to dominate the "game" and win the HOF. "We" are their lackeys. Let`s agree, for example, that no family excist till families are formed, adding #bullshit.com and Joe2 to your profile doesn`t protect you.

And exactly how would this benefit cheats? If they've got a script that makes a lackey run More than its allowed time, I'd think that would stand out like a sore thumb and be irrefutable proof of cheating.
Same for accounts advancing too fast on just lackeys, if lackeys don't rank as fast as manual.
It seems to me that this would encourage people and discourage duping. Also encourage people to be on live more. Without totally taking away the lackeys (I've come to appreciate them. Even though I have more time than most to be on, I can't rank while cooking dinner, among other things.)
For a game that really is far more about IRC chat than the actual mechanics live people are really what we need to revive Omerta.

Reading on Omerta news sites and listening to players on IRC it would seem that the general feeling is that we have 3 problems that really concern people.
1/ Cheating in its various forms from running dupe accounts to scripting .
2/ Version length - this i hear most from older and returning players, most of whom do not stay long and is commonly blamed on so called pacting - which is at best just a tactic used to "win" and at worst is the main reason why versions have steadily shrunk in length.
3/ The game is dying - both in player numbers and financially for the company .The current "free to play" business model no longer works either for the company
or the player , and will at some not to distant point result in the game closing .
I suggest a revision such that when signing-up for a version a fee of say 10 euro's is required - this would entitle the account to 2 dc's . Further dc's at the standard rate .
Version closing date should be notified in advance
and not be shorter than 2 calendar months initially
this period can be varied later .
Lackeys - retained but rank progress per action reduced
to a level between 50%-80% of manual progress.
Sluggs to work a max of 8hrs in a day .
O'Rourke+freekowski - max 12 hrs day .
HOF - retained .
ROM - removed as no longer needed .
Raids - max profit 1mil each player.
Accounts idle for longer than 7 days who havent set holiday mode - should be blocked , and owner needs to go to #help to explain and have the account un-blocked.
Scripting+duping , when caught , accounts killed as now and owner required to re-register the e-mail,with no free dc's , additionally a black mark placed on the account to denote previous cheating which stays associated with the e-mail of the account holder through the next version as well .
Reporting of suspected duping/scripting to admins should be encouraged by a bonus of 5k bullets or something similar if the admins then find evidence of cheating .
Re-instating the User Group to provide a better link between players and developers to discuss ways the game can be improved and marketed .
The KA can be restored to 2.2 levels and bullet limits on lower ranks removed as suiciding is not a big issue when there is both time and the new re-ranking system in place .

Are you kidding me? There are still scripters in this game that are not being caught. These measures will only benefit the cheaters, the scripters.
Removing lackeys is not in the interest of the fair players, since cheaters (read: scripters) will benefit the most from it.
