Involved families: Lusa, Tijuana
article
The Lusa family just got taken down after it's Don (and sotto who tried an escape to Tijana) got a-killed.

Many people are questioning the motives behind this a-kill, one of the admins had the following to say:

Ascii is not killed due to personal account abused, he found a bug in the system so his capos benefitted of it
that's why he got an akill, we will not revive the accounts he killed but we will discuss a compensation otherwise

Also some CD's (maybe all of them) from Lusa got demoted to Local Chief, so these accounts took advantage of the bug as well. The bug supposedly is used by more than just Lusa, it's just the fact that the CD's haven't demoted to Bruglione when having an empty regime, since they didn't do any manual action. Thus giving them the account strenght nessecary to survive.

The official revive rule states that people will only get revived if they have been killed within 3 days before the a-kill of their shooter, which for many of the gangsters comes too late.

How do you feel about this? Should the revive policy need a review? Should the person that fired over 2,5 million bullets and devestated so many accounts get a different punishment?

Comment below!

Update:

Prophecy also falls victim to the same bug abuse as it's don got akilled some hours later.

They didn't think it was a bug apparently, since they did fuck all about it, when lusa reported it, when families on nl reported it, and so on. Now they did the akilling and kcode came on and fixed the thing in 2 hours i heard. Why not just do that and then let nature run it's course. This just seems spiteful.

1st: Lusa reports the situation as a bug.
2nd: Lusa grossly exploits that bug.
3rd: Lusa get admin killed.
4th: Lusa complains about the admin kill.

Why are you complaining instead of rejoicing? You reported a bug and it got resolved. Be happy! :)

Here you go again Nuke, trying to downtalk Lusa to make sure you feel good or whatever you do it for. Lusa reported a famless CD being CD still, admins says np, doesn't matter. Lusa does this too and now it does matter?

It's too late to get Lusa back because when admins make a decision they will never turn it back but atleast have the balls to say this akill spree was random.

I work with what you dip shits give me. If you don't like what I'm saying, then correct the guy I responded to. Maybe if you stammering idiots could learn to talk, we might have a more meaningful conversation.

Ever wondered if its you who has more problems communicating? Lusa reported it, admins said it's not affecting the game thus not of any priority and a couple weeks later Lusa gets akilled for the same thing. Selective akilling is not good in any case, whether you like Lusa's game style or not.

But, after all a fam needs to have enoug members to be able to make regimes strong enough. without those, there is nothing to move, and whats wrong in moving members to a capo, to make him strong enough to kill as cdc, then after he is done, the next need those members so we move them to the other regime. Isn't that just a part of game? To devine members, to make your fam the strongest as possible in any way? Thats abuse? I did not "created" fake members, I used real players. They were there and as fam its a decision where you put your members, and on what time.
The bug that cdc stay cdc after being offline and moving members, would not affect any war. because at time of war all cdc would be on, and then its a hell lot of work to make them at moment of shooting cdc:P
I played the game, and got akilled for it. If thats fair thats the question. So for me: all who laughed at us for getting down by admins: you such fools! I wouldn't be happy if it happend to you, I rather shoot you myself :D Rest em saying: have fun playing this game, I do not regret anything I did!

It is fair, go cry

I don't think it is a bug. It's just an option in the game that can be used in a way that differs from the developer's intent. Obviously they didn't intent for families to move around members in order to make all the capo's Capodecina while there wasn't enough regimestrength. But with their way of writing the game it was possible. It's just a fact that you have to gain rp manually (crime/car/b/n/travel) in order to promote or demote to or from Capodecina.
You can draw a comparison between this and the pickpocketing option that used to be in the game, that someone mentioned before. It gave you the option to easily find rich famless people and go kill them for their money. That wasn't why the developers created that option, but you could use it with that reason in mind and you certainly wouldn't get akilled for it.

I agree that the admins are to blame for not fixing bugs and I do agree that these a-kills look a bit random.
I don't pretend to know who cheated or not, so I can't really judge about this.

Good thing I dont need to draw lines, but this one looks clear to me:
Regime strength 50/2000 shouldnt make you or keep CDC or GF/FL.

When you just play the game, you accept the fact that people demote when they dont have the regimestrength. When you move around regimes to 2000/2000 so people become CDC/GF/FL again, you move the members away so that you are back to 50/2000, but still keep the title, that shouts abuse in my face.

I do think admins are slacking and also that some decisions seem very biased, but a-killing people for abusing bugs is not the wrong thing to do.

I have read a lot of statements here, so let me start of with:
I am not really anybody on Omerta. Gladly that doesnt make an opinion less valid then someone who might be somebody on Omerta.

What I really like to see is people taking distance from cheating or bug abusing. If you really feel the pressure to need to cheat or to abuse bugs, than maybe this game is not for you. If you feel spoken to with this statement: You are already a special and valuable person, a tough online character is not really needed to make you more special.

I play this game for a long time and while we probably agree that "it used to be better in the old days", it is still a fun game to play. There is so many things I'd love to see changed. Hell, I would buy dc's if the pickpocketing option would come back.

I always try to play by the rules of this game and I do think that's the most fun way to play it. Unfortunately there are people who think it's more to see how far they can go without getting caught. I know personalities are different, so I wont pretend to be surprised.

What does baffle me, not only in this game (but also for example in soccer) is that when people knowingly and willingly commit a foul or abuse a bug or try to get an advantage over other people in a way that's not allowed, always look for others to blame: The referee, the admins. So what this if bug was known since the birth of humanity? You still know it's a bug right? Ye still know that bugabuse might lead to punishment (even if in earlier times to admins, the referees were blind for this same bug).

If people were as tenacious in getting bugs reported and see them fixed as they are in actually abusing those bugs, this game would be a way better game :)

What I don't understand is that when perhaps this particular bug has no influence on strength or killing whatsoever, that experienced players take time, risk and effort in war to abuse this bug, which had no effect at all.

Anyway, if these adminkills make you decide to leave this game forever: Thanks for playing, good luck in real life and hopefully you will find other gratifying things to do in life.

We can miss cheaters and abusers or people who agree with cheaters and abusers like a farmer can miss toothache :)

Sincerely,

A nobody (Heista)
(Feel free to discuss this with me in #heista if Im on.)

Where do you draw the line between an abuse and just playing the game though. When my family got punished a couple of versions ago it was all fair game, cause we did wrong. This however is such a grey area that it all just seems very random to akill people over it. The akills themselves even seem completely random since about every family in the game has had people staying offline to remain cd or gf. This thing has been reported numerous times on different versions of the game, but admins and devs apparently saw no wrong with it. Why did they change their mind all of a sudden?

Your comparison isn't valid at all. It would be the equivalent of getting checked for a ticket once every week and not getting fined, and then one day the guy checking your ticket decides to kill your father, mother, siblings and Johnx as a punishment.

I totally understand that you cant develop properly with a php developer that earns 1k euro salary. But punish players about shitty functionality that your game offers? GTFO

I can agree with this one..

Like murdoc said a few posts back: bad comparison. You guys want Lusa down badly and dont care if it's justified or not. The fact that the bug has no influence on the outcome of shooting combined with the fact admins knew about this for years and didn't do anything against it because of the fact it doesn't affect the outcome of shooting makes the admin kills complete non sense. On top of that is the fact members of Lusa reported others using this and nothing was done against it because it's only visual anyway.

Your comparison would be valid if your not paying didn't affact anyone by not paying (which you do, no income for the transport company) but also your illegal traveling would be known about for years already. In that case you'd actually tell the company this every time they check and they'd say 'no that's fine'. Also they'd all of a sudden fine you and not fine the person next to you who also travels without a ticket.

Now you can keep whining on how bad and evil Lusa is, fact is you couldn't kill their accounts offline. It wouldn't have mattered if they were demoted visually because they were already demoted for KA all along. Also I've never seen the massive whining about a visual bug before when your own people 'used' it.

I've already died in the first war of this version, my rebirth gunned down a couple days later and yet I don't mind to admit these akills were silly and uncalled for. Admins will never rollback and will never admit they were wrong so you can actually just be honest and say they were silly. It won't change any outcome anyway.

They had reasons to be happy, unless you cant understand Omerta and see for all they exceeded. I figure you are one of those who died, cas it was too weak.
As your low mentality shows, you are happy with something that deep inside you see its unfair. But who cares, since they are dead, its all that matters.

Next version you'll prolly cry some more.
