28-01 KS disabled for 4.5

Version: 4.5
article
KS is and will be disabled for the whole version. There also will be no any other (mid) changes for the current version.

KS got disabled for 4.5 because the Omerta Crew were becoming concerned about the 'KS farming' what was going on in previous versions.

So.. in short.. 4.5 → NO KS

Topic is KS .... Good Job ... KS should be awarded for Killing people. Not bg's or "failed attemps". If you want a KS first you need to do a better job killing dupes :P good luck with that :') just bring back the bottle , I never got to shoot this bottle but I'm sure it will even the play'n field...

Shooting the bottle = scripters shoot the bottle 24/7 while lackeys do small crimes for money = even bigger advantage for scripting = less people using lackeys = less money for crew = no go.

How can lackeys do small crimes? If memory serves, shooting the bottle was a crime...

Im sure the admins can calculate how much is dispersed each day in heist/oc/moc's. My suggestion would be to create spots similar to raids (which can not be raided) that generate the amount paid out per day every 24 hours. The lower the profit in the spot, the lower (exponentially) you receive each group crime.

For example (all figures estimated): OCs generate 160 million in total income a day. So create an OC spot in each city with 20 million. In the morning when someone does an OC in Detroit, they can get a nice healthy profit of 2-3 million. However, later in the night when there is only 2 million left in the spot, you can only get 500k max profit. This will force people to travel for group crimes and (hopefully) settle in other cities.
+1

Boost group crime results in your fam's hometown, it's been suggested so many times and it is so simple, and it'd encourage people to do group crimes in their hometowns (so not all in det)

before ks they need to solve the financial issues in the game imo..

cus everyone stays in detroit and families in other cities cannot make money anymore..

this causes a huge disadvantage between the detroit fams and other city fams, especially when u consider in wars..

they can make feds more active in detroit, or punish detroit somehow so that people can travel to other cities..

otherwise ks or other changes will not matter much imo..

It has been suggested before to close down Detroit entirely for one version (and maybe replace it by some other city, but that doesn't sound entirely necessary). That way players are forced to move somewhere else and there's a fair chance not everyone will go to the same city. Provided not everyone starts in the same city anyway.

That post does not make any sense and what bothers me most.

You know it's a text based game, right?
So you don't actually see/visit Detroit, right?
So basically all cities look the same (except for Las Vegas which has more Casinos), right?

Now that we have established that all cities more or less are the same, why did you all stick in Detroit. Detroit was only so overcrowded, because you made it overcrowded. And instead of changing it by populating other cities you yet again, went crying that admins should fix it and make the cities more balanced.

Which brings me back to my original 3 questions. You know it's a text based game, so how should they have leveled it more? Make it less or more text based?

The reason Det is overcrowded is because at some point admins decided to let all players start in the same city, right?

And at they same time they totaly disabled the travel option and you poor things were trapped there, eh?

Do you want me to travel? Make a nice maxbet in Vegas roulette and I will come. Otherwise I will stay still in my HQ and travel only to Detroit if I feel like making a m/oc.

People who only play @ evening/night cus they have work where they cant play will only have small OC's then.. idea is fine just needs random 'spot' refills.. and outcome, like a raid, should be based on activity, car and rank. +1 for the idea tho

Outcome being based on the things you mention and what's left in the spot sounds fair, indeed. The problem about time of the day can be solved by not using 24h but 28h for reset. Everyone than has a somewhat better and somewhat worse chance throughout the week and in precisely a week time it all starts over again (6*28=7*24).

I like the idea. with some minor tweaks ofc. though I highly doubt that it will work either. ppl don't travel, because they don't have to travel. a better oc will not persuade them. at least not the majority. I suggest the efforts are concentrated on the reasons why ppl don't need to travel

As suggested before...

People used to travel for b/n runs when it was all manual, so the money got distributed more evenly. You could easily give people an incentive to travel again by making group crimes more profitable when you travel to certain places in the same way b/n was more profitable at certain places. You could think of many examples to do so.

Give a higher succeed percentage for doing heists/oc/moc at a certain place. Make this visible in sort off the same way you make b/n prices visible. This could swap every half hour, or you could just base it on the amount of times people did group crimes in one place that day. F.e. there were a lot of group crimes in detroit, so the chance to succeed is lowest there(everyone already got their shit nicked obviously). In Corleone there was hardly any group crime at all, so the chance to succeed is higher there.

You could even make some sort of ingame crowd and federal banks etc. who's pockets and safes get depleted as there are more group crimes in that certain city. Would make it a hell of a lot more interactive again in one swoop too.

Nah, not really slow. Brando being his usual self, announced they are reworking/tweaking it. And he implied a worked over ks would would be back in some form during this version.

brando doesnt work in OB o/

True, but he (unfortunately) owns the game and thus has to be considered a primary source of news concerning changes in game play.
