Well us using teamviewer or not is really irrelevant at this stage. We were convicted of murder and the prosecution stated we used a gun to do the crime, now you guys are discussing if we killed with a knife. But even TV was the case, it doesn't make sense in different levels let me explain..
First of all every one knows its close to impossible to prove TV usage, unless certain accounts have similar patterns, interacting with eachother through out the version. Thats just not the case here, considering Cnwr, Mad and I were leaders in heists %95 of the time and have very different on times. Our accounts had nothing to do with eachother.
Second way to prove this is if a person suddenly decides to put the TV information on a channel topic, hi Naka <3
Finally, TV is a grey area from the get go and considering its harder to crack a prejudice than an atom, what ever I say won't change your opinion in that subject. What you have to realize is even if this is the reasoning, it would be close to impossible to prove it so taking actions like they did, determining faiths of people who put in a heck of work just doesn't sound right does it?
Again, TV usage wasn't mentioned once by the admins and their whole argument was on the "proof" they had that cnwr and I were living in the same house/same person and they had no intention on hearing our side of the story or prove the other way.
Our friends may feel some sympathy while our enemies are enjoying the moment, but the point is this can happen to you too. I just wonder what your reaction is going to be when thats the case..
This is a war we can't fight, an enemy that we can't defeat so the only option left is to say good bye's
Maybe with a different management, different ownership our roads will unite again.. But until that day, farewell friends

If you used teamviewer or not is relevant 100%. If you used it your akill was 100% legit. That others use it aswell and don't get caught is the same with driving to a red light with your car, if the police see it you're busted others might be lucky.
But imo the admins should give all teamviewer cheaters an akill. It is very clear sated in the game rules that sharing is forbidden. Using teamviewer = sharing.
Ari (16:57:36 - 02-07)
I have no idea what anyone is doing, I personally deleted IRC after the Akills. But maraz doesn't consist of 3 accounts, don't blame people for finishing the commitment they gave in the beginning.
Anonymous (16:56:22 - 02-07)
Using teamviewer = Sharing
Sharing = cheating = punished with akill
Everyone that uses teamviewer should get an akill.

i think you are wrong. cause it was impossible to catch players before 2.7v. but i remember they did a lil change to find it after this. thats why crews dont want to say "how we caught" or "this is the proof" cause if they say it then everyone will fix it.. everybody will think that "its impossible to catch via TV, lets cheat". but NO WAY, this is just time/money wasting for you and other players..
better to not cheat. or cheat but dont cry if you get akilled.

I'm definitely not wrong about that, it's not possible from a technical point of view to detect whether someone is accessing a site directly our being remote-controlled through TeamViewer.
And I agree, it's possible to avoid being detected as a false positive for sharing or funding. But it shouldn't be necessary. And if someone can think of a way to integrate sharing as part of the game, that could work. I'm not suggesting allowing TeamViewer usage, but rather changing the gameplay in a way that makes it irrelevant and integrates similar concepts into the game - let's say by making group crimes more than just "fill in name, start", maybe something you can take part of even when you're not online through your family or whatever.
I think ideas like that should be explored.

it seems like Going Offline in Inbox to me. cause if you are in inbox more than 1h then it shows you online and makes you logged out.. TESTED million times..
cause i remember in 2.7v Admins posted a message about TV. like that: we've changed our catch-system. so we can easily catch cheaters with a trick(or whatever). then they mass-akilled people..
correct me if i am wrong..

On the second note, cnwr and I maybe had ~10 heists together since we both preferred being leaders, so there goes the mutual group crime theory too..
Anyways
MurderInc at 14:24:22 on 02/07:
That's not possible from a technical POV, unless you also shared your login credentials and accidentally typed those in your local browser instead of through TeamViewer. TeamViewer can't "leak" data to a site like Omerta due to the way it works.
I don't think the crew claimed they shared IP addresses either.
Fact is, yes, it's not possible have 100% proof for TV usage. To me it seems they're simply going for the same standard they've started applying to funding: If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.
Then again, I wouldn't put any money on the crew always being able to identify ducks, so yeah, those akills should be taken with a grain of salt. Especially since without any technical proof, the difference between two people ranking together (synced GC times etc.) and two people using TV is rather hard to detect.
Sadly, I think the only way to handle this on the player side is to literally go out of your way and prevent doing anything suspicious (i.e., do group crimes with random players on IRC, etc.) - and of course that's pretty crazy.
I do wonder what the community would think about legalizing sharing in some way.

Well I do want to believe you Ari (and i'm not even from Maraz), but isn't it possible that something went wrong when using teamviewer? that someone from Turkey just logged in on your account without teamviewer or something went wrong while using teamviewer. If you are really on another continent, i can't really think of anything else besides teamviewer going wrong or being hacked to create the same IP where both Lenny and Panda were logged in.

It was actually their own words, "We don't buy it that you live in the US, and we have proof that you are in the same house with cnwr"
On the second note, cnwr and I maybe had ~10 heists together since we both preferred being leaders, so there goes the mutual group crime theory too..
Anyways
Its a known fact you live in US. Heck, you and Mellow are regular bustingpartners while ranking, due to being in same timezone. If thats the reason its beyond ridicolous...

i think you are wrong. cause it was impossible to catch players before 2.7v. but i remember they did a lil change to find it after this. thats why crews dont want to say "how we caught" or "this is the proof" cause if they say it then everyone will fix it.. everybody will think that "its impossible to catch via TV, lets cheat". but NO WAY, this is just time/money wasting for you and other players..
better to not cheat. or cheat but dont cry if you get akilled.

What is considered cheating and what is part of the game is something that should be re-evaluated regularly, and if there's a way to make sharing part of the game in a smart way that improves the gameplay and prevents stuff like this from happening, I think it should at least be considered.
After all, Lackeys are part of the game too.

Legalizing sharing is a bad idea, the fact admins can't detect teamviewer doesn't mean it isn't cheating. Someone else is on your account doing a groupcrime for you or warring for you or doing something else etc..It's cheating. It's your own account only 1 people should play on it. If you can't be online during the night then you can't do a heist simple as that.

so you are saying just with cycling in the 90's when everybody used epo we should just legalize sharing because a lot of people do it. There are still a lot of people that don't use teamviewer, the majority doesn't. There are even people that rank page 1 that don't use teamviewer.
There is a much easier solution to prevent stuff like this from happening, stop CHEATING. Stop using teamviewer, don't do all groupcrimes with the same person every day for weeks which gives the admins an indication you are using teamviewer with your buddy, don't sell 50 dc's with IRC so you won't get caught for funding. It's not that hard to follow the rules. Just rank solo on your own account, don't script, don't share, don't do funding and you won't get akilled. I have never cheated and never got an Akill, so it's not that difficult.
