well HOF is important motivator but i believe there are more factors to push the limit
as an example i was regular player around 3.x versions. shooting and dieing, sometimes making progress (like being GF etc) sometimes die as simple chief/brug
when i got shot multiple times by mass-duper jannissary boss (we knew he was mass-duping cuz i was in their warchannel for 2 versions spying around, they werent even asking what is my ingame, and that lamer was shooting with his dupes and pasting it to chan, calling he "shot from xxx account" etc.) i said enough. there are always some money spenders like fenrir/cracka/red etc. but when you see some cheater shooting you down multiple times, there are 2 ways. 1 you quit, 2 you find some way to overachieve. yeah most of my friends quit cuz they just didnt have motivation/ability to overachieve.
i had a post about how this game should be designed, i still think there should be such solution
bigger problem is : this game runs on real money and duping/cheating.
if you want good accounts, you should pay 100 to 1000 dollars (yea i know a top account paying 1k in a version) or cheat in some way (duping, funding, bug abusing etc.)
there is a slight chance that you can build a good account without that 2 options. maybe some lottery/poker luck, or using fam objects all for yourself, but those options are limited to %1 of playerbase
thats simply a money trap, yes paid money can give you a slight advantage in online gaming, but when this advantage plays big role in that online game, that is not acceptable
this game should be rebuild on a ranking/collecting system that favors good tacticians and good rankers. else it will stay same shit with a playerbase consisting 300 players max, noone will come back to be smashed by somebody rich or cheating

"ban IP"? what a fucking moron you are, nobody use static IP, you connect your account from your workplace etc. how you can ban IP? even you connect from your home all time, you dont have same IP if you didnt apply for static IP (which is useless if you dont run something like virtual server). if you try to ban such IP you would end fucking up some other ppl more then that cheater.

That's not possible from a technical POV, unless you also shared your login credentials and accidentally typed those in your local browser instead of through TeamViewer. TeamViewer can't "leak" data to a site like Omerta due to the way it works.

Fact is, yes, it's not possible have 100% proof for TV usage. To me it seems they're simply going for the same standard they've started applying to funding: If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.
Then again, I wouldn't put any money on the crew always being able to identify ducks, so yeah, those akills should be taken with a grain of salt. Especially since without any technical proof, the difference between two people ranking together (synced GC times etc.) and two people using TV is rather hard to detect.
Sadly, I think the only way to handle this on the player side is to literally go out of your way and prevent doing anything suspicious (i.e., do group crimes with random players on IRC, etc.) - and of course that's pretty crazy.
I do wonder what the community would think about legalizing sharing in some way.

The only greed in that is being the best so you and/or your family ends up in the Hall of Fame. Simply as that. First it was scripting to the limit, untill scripts got caught or snitched or w/e. Now it's dupes all over the place, easily done with lackeys, which also causes more people to be inactive. So, hmm, hard to keep up your regular memberbase and win a version..
How do u win then? Make your top-accounts as strong as possible in the fastest way. Whole omerta is busting from day 1, instead of the 'honoured busters', just to reach as much RP as they can within the 500 b/n tries. No, believe me that people don't reach that amount of busts in such a short time in a manual way and also rank in that same time. Lackeys skip b/n a lot with those shitty prices, or without reason. You have to keep track of getting RP every hour. No way people can do that on their own, that would make u miss RP if you're gonna sleep. Solution: teamviewer. Simple. You will be shocked how many people use it.
Besides that you still have several ways of swapping/trading money in between versions. Which is forbidden, but still happens. Crew just let all these things happen untill they decide it has crossed the line. Or well, some crews do, some crews don't. Just depends on how good your friendship & history is. We all know they don't give a fuck about being consequent. Just a shame they always Akill in the 2 weeks before it is reset, which happened in the past 4-5 versions, if I am not wrong there. That's just a sign of the crew that they don't agree on several people winning a version.
