Like so many have hinted and seen happening already this version. The big construction companies owned by the local mafia were using their power to gain money in even darker ways than usual for thugs. The feds caught on to the fraud and execution the culprits.
Two days after the Akilling spree, we see people getting akilled yet again. Though this time not because they cheated, but because they are getting a revive. Their killers were among the exploiters.

It is very easy to not notice when it is the first time you are doing this. You must be new. When the time comes to make 100% brugs into Godfathers/Capodecinas, the family gathers to "boost". The process is remarkably similar to the buying and selling of apartments, only you do it with booze and narcs instead. I didn't realize what was happening because on my end everything was fine - I was losing small amounts of money that went to capo profit. I never realized that was creating money and not simply distributing them, like boosting is supposed to do. Yeah, sure, I did not give it much though. I was watching a movie at the time and didn't mind clicking at the same time.
At this point I don't even want a revive unless it is a complete rollback of tonight, the money generated taken away and the crew APOLOGIZE to everyone. Consider this. Some people knew of this bug long before the rest. This is not the first such bug to happen. We play in a game that is bug ridden, abused all the time, receives terrible support and the people programming it have no idea what they are doing because the people who did the original programming moved on, disgusted, long ago. And people pay money for this game!
This game is done, dead, and I hope certain members of the crew never find another job ever again because I would hate to be their employer. They are shooting their own livelihood, let them. Now instead of an even longer and painful death the game will die with a flash at least. However, I never intentionally cheated. I end this game like I started it - with dignity.

When you are boosting anyone for GF/CD, you lose money! In this situation you don't! So stop playing the innocent role because it doesn't suit you at all!

This is completely surprising. I've seen dubious actions from crew in the past, but this totally isn't one of them. It's impossible to just generate hundreds of millions of dollars out of thin air without noticing, or while thinking it's okay to do so. I'm glad to see most families having a construction spot didn't really abuse their spots.
As for people saying "If it's a bug they should fix it not punish the player for abusing it." Just read the disclaimer you're agreeing to, when registering an account for omerta. It clearly states "You may not: (...) (2) exploit any bugs in the game code or the structure of the game for the furtherment of you character in Omerta." Don't complain about something that's clear from the rules of the game.
