It seems this war is a reaction to events of yesterday (16-05 Catania being shot!).
Vaffanculo shot at Catania & Caedus and got countered by several families. Namely: Corporation, Santuario, Illimitada, Gambino, Trafficante & Leviticus.
Catania got downed and Caedus got heavily damaged. Today most of the families who countered on Vaffanculo are being punished for their actions.
Vaffanculo is getting help from Coccada to finnish off what they started yesterday.
Requena + Ascension + Signoria → Santuario + Leviticus

1. We can't shoot Vaffan because we're secretly blooded as previously mentioned.

3. We dont get involved in blood vs blood wars, we blooded Vaffan/Krays/Ascension before the war to keep us safe.
Yes, we knew Inze would join this attack. We gave them those instructions. Therefore we're still blooded to Inze aswell since they followed our orders perfectly.
To respond on a previous comment aswell: We indeed dont give a shit about our bloods, they know. Thats why we generally have the same bloods every version because we use them for our own survival, worked perfectly so far aye? Atleast they seem to not care about us not giving a damn or they're about as stupid as the OBmasses here. Who knows?
