Dear all,
After discussing all possibilities we only see one way to go forward on .com and this is by having a reset.
Therefor we will reset .com next week Thursday at 11 OT.
Everyone who used dcs (bought for real money) for Lackey credits in the previous 2 weeks will get the remaining amount of credits transferred to their new accounts after the reset. (we will only transfer money bought credits, if you have 20k credits but only added 2 self bought dcs in the previous 2 weeks we will only add 10k credits). Credits bought for Obay codes will not be refunded.
Reset fun has started but we will not have any Hall of Fame winners this version. Too much abuse and we don’t want the wrong people walking away with a voucher.
During this week you will find several VOTD asking you for things like, ‘How to open casinos and when’, ‘How many fams should start’ etc.
We do apologize to the fair players who are the victim of a group of players that consider themselves loyal and 'old skool' but are too immature to play a game without any form of cheating.
I do hope that as we're going to reset the game players will understand that we're not going to revive/ compensate anyone that was a victim of these cheaters. We like to use our time catching more cheats and working on our new lay out.
In this time of negativity we have 1 positive thing to add, on the day of the reset the video game ‘City of Gangsters’ will be released. ‘City of Gangsters is a simulation game with tactical turn-based combat. Taking the role of a fresh-off-the-boat immigrant, with dreams of the big life, the player will work his way up the criminal hierarchy of 1920’s Atlantic City, New Jersey. Starting with small jobs, his character recruits a gang and expands his empire by taking territory from other gangsters. Eventually he establishes his own crime syndicate and becomes the de facto ruler of Atlantic City.
The player strategically manages his business and his minions in a real-time format, slowly but steadily increasing his influence over the city. The player sends his henchmen out on missions ranging from assassinating an informant, to raiding a warehouse, springing a friend from prison, robbing a bank or attacking a rival gang’s hideout. Nobody is above the law in Atlantic City, so it always helps to have a little cash handy to bribe a policeman or pay off a politician.
In every copy there will be a flyer with a donation code and more prizes are to be won.

[17:26] <@Daphne\Study> You exactly know what Omerta has to do with that city of gangster or w/e game?
[17:27] <@Daphne\Study> I found it on Google
[17:28] <@Daphne\Study> Bracknell, UK 23 rd January 2013 To promote the launch of Omerta - City of Gangsters, the new strategy title from Haemimont (the developers behind the critically acclaimed Tropico 3 and 4), Kalypso Media has announced a partnership with Omerta, www.barafranca.com the Free-to-Play gangster themed MMORPG, offering players the chance to win mystery prizes.
[17:28] <@Daphne\Study> A partnership, haha
[17:29] <@Daphne\Study> By logging onto Omerta ( www.barafranca.com) and using a voucher code printed on a flyer in the Omerta - City of Gangsters retail boxed version, players can experience the dangerous and violent online world of the Mafiosi. Once a player reaches the rank of Associate, they may suddenly win a brand new iPad, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, or one of 1000s of other prizes. Every player will be a winner.

I love this...gay ws posted here, some1 made a fam "rip omerta" !? news for you - omerta died versions ago. There was SO high hopes how 3.0 will be SO much different than 2.x were..and when 3.0 was released - fuck it (again). It still was more or less same shit. Lot of talk, little action = Omerta.

LoL Yeah just checked, don't know what to think honestly. I saw games like this before, I don't even know is Omerta ltd. behind it. If they are and this game ends up with some online mode it might even get some nice amount of players. If it's pure singe player game price of 40 euros for that kind of game is way too much. It looks outdated to anything that comes out today with same price.
Smul at 16:10:41 on 23/01:
The game looked to have some potential tbh, it's a Sim/Strat game about building up your own Maffia Empire. It's from the same publisher and developer as the Tropico series (which I enjoyed a lot), or so I thought. Strangely enough now it seems Omerta LTD. or whatever the comp is called, is behind it now. O_O

When I saw that "Omerta: City of Gangsters" game on Steam I was actually interested in buying it (even my brother, who hasn't played Omerta in years, was interested in buying it). Now that they are advertising for it, thus I assume they have the royalties to it, I won't buy it at all. How the fuck can that game be any good.
Guess Shell was right about that game, shame.

It kinda reminds me a bit of Gangsters 1&2..some really old PC games.. I always had tonnes of fun with it when I was a little kid. I can't say I'm interested in a direct clone of these games.

It has Multiplayer (you can see that on Steam too) and Coop.
And if you would have bought 2 copies, in my case 1 for me, 1 for my bro, 23 bucks ain't that expensive.
They should all give us a free copy as compensation. xD

but i also agree with a lot of people, why the ROM, refund more then two weeks, shameless advertise of that game etc
i love reading all these hateful posts, as im on the side of the "admins of omerta are newbs" side. and yet they proof me no wrong over and over and over again.

Right. Who'd like to buy a pub in Hull with me. It brews its own beer. Can be made into a successful lil' business IMHO...
And he is advertising new mafia based game... Guy needs money!!! So hurry up people buy DC's like you never did before, lets give this good man a pub :D
Didn't know it's sold on steam, thought it's some Facebook app game. I gonna check it on steam, but God if anyone familiar with how incompetent these people are buys it, that person is beyond moronic...

It's clear Brando only thinks about his own wallet. When people vote for reset, they won't reset. When people vote against a reset, they reset it. They are just hoping people will buy new DC"s to get a nice startup. They don't give a shit about players, as proven with their decisions before. It's all about the moneys. If they care about the players, they refund all credits, not only the credits bought with real money

uhm reset was the only fair decision, as you don't know who "survived" due blood & money bug, and how deep the money bug went.
its untraceable for admins

They should have given all credits back, used credits and credits that are left that were bought were real money.
Now they are themselves exploiting the bug to fill their pockets.

This gotta be a early aprils fool joke. Not even Brando/Bramble can be so dumb to reset a version at this stage. Nice work ruining the version for all who didnt abuse bugs.

It has Multiplayer (you can see that on Steam too) and Coop.
And if you would have bought 2 copies, in my case 1 for me, 1 for my bro, 23 bucks ain't that expensive.
They should all give us a free copy as compensation. xD
I want free copy idd. Brando show us you aren't greedy bastard as we all think!
