We all know now that there is some massive bug abusing going on in the omerta world.

People buy 10.000 bullets from the local factory, buy 1337 units of beer to gain 30% rank progress as a swindler, have more then 100 health points and abuse the hitlist bug to gain money there never was.

How should the omerta admins react? i stated a few options below
poll

2. Revive all players killed in wars against those offending fams, but only if they were most likely expressly told, by either the dons or their subordinates. This has caused many indirect deaths. All of the illegal money should be traced, I bet many members were supplied with dirty bullet money.
3. Ban all accounts associated. Most brugs in those families will have to be banned. It is imperative for the crew to follow through on this. This bug was known by many, many some people weren't privy to the fact, while this is unfortunate for them. I believe they simply can't get away with being privileged over everyone else. They did benefit from this dastardly deed. I believe a suspension would be in order for those who weren't in on the plot. A week setback would be appropriate to make up for gained advantages, bullets, money.

If they revive the players I am sure that the same will happen again. The cheaters and ranking up and will kill whoever they want once everybody is revived! ispp would be targeted again, and the shooters of ispp would be targeted the next day. possibly, gravano and messina would be shoot at sooner, but that's all.

Fix all the bugs and reset the version after! (Fair play for all!)

So all the fair players can start ranking again same as the abusers they can a clean start as well !!

Close the version a-kill the abusers, revive the deads the made, and give after opening the game again a voucher for al players who still be there

At this point, that would mean checking every account since the beginning of the version, including the ones of dead gangsters. There is not proof that some of dead people weren't using bugs either. It's too messy. I think the only way out is to "reconstruct" the game... Sadly :')

Well it's a mafia game. In the world of Mafia everything is focused on getting your things done the way that others don't say it. In my opinion bugs, and the exploitation of bugs could be seen as part of the game. Bugs are in my opinion just like errors in law, which you can exploit to pay less tax for example :)

I see that argument a lot and I only see that as cheaters trying to justify their bullshit :') patheticly..
go try to make fraudulent couple billion dollars in rl and see what happens :')
if we're goin all realistic; if you get caught doing such big abuse in rl, you get a lifetime sentence
so lets make the akills last for lifetime, eh?
you only fuckup once #YOFO mofos :'D

about changing ip and coming back; I know nothing about programming, coding and such
what I know is I've never seen one person cheating in CoD multiplayer xD
how the fuck do they do it then?
if they can keep it clean with around 40.000 players, so-called omerta crew must be able to do it with 1k players orso x'D even less, if you only focus on a "suspected" group :')

before you can connect to CoD, you see a fullpage message from the crew, basically saying "if you ever think of cheating, we'll fuck you up real good"
thats how you handle with this shit

and about playerbase shrinking; I thought that too, but still better to have 5 clean players who can actually play, rather than having 1000 players like this
noone actually plays right now = cheating is not playing + clean players' playing means nothing when its like this (and they're lackeying anyway)
I also agree with Smul, these cautions had to be started earlier

maybe not permanent akills right away, but still they should start banning people at least for few months
and if they keep cheating when they return, it should go up to permanent gradually

and before anything can happen, Brando should stop playing wiseass bigshot "CEO" :')

+1
Obviously, clean players won't have a shot in the game if goes on like this!

I'm still (always) a pessimistic - this way you can't lose (and most of the time you are right, at least here)

most famous abuser Messina still alive , and you people discussing about fair applications from the admins.

first they have to akill every abuser. and about the compensation , how could it be a fair one? we shot the somer abusers and shot by the other abusers.

are they going to revive us with the bullets which we spent on the abusers? dont think so

They need to close it and clean up all the bugs. Just look at Italien - Shot 1.5mill bullets (probably had another mill left) in approx 1 month and also rumoured to have sent out 3 billion in cash to members. Just imagine how much difference 3 billion in cheat cash could make to a version then stop to consider that this was just 1 person (tip of the iceberg). Its an absolute joke. You cant really blame the cheaters;

Cheaters: Their job is to cheat
Admins : Their job is to run the game and prevent cheating.

Who wasn't doing their job properly?

Possibly hundreds of people were killed because of these cheaters. Fledgling families with potential, for the kill skill; and also their enemies during war, easily almost guaranteeing them the victors.
There was a poll about the kill algorithm, so this did cause an observable effect on every war. People with 199% health, tons of bullets, and illegal money?

They just need to root out every cheater, which may take a long time. But i'm willing to wait. It would be better than a reset. I'm sure many people will agree. This version has just started, and people have spent weeks ranking their characters up. It is good that the cheaters got greedy, and lost the patience and ability to be subtle. People have said the game is already locked, but this will change a lot. This version is still fresh.

We as a player-base have to be patient with this, and the crew has to get their asses in gear, because this is a in-game crisis that needs to be solved. Their best bet at minimizing losses will be to
1. Fix the bugs
A week setback would be appropriate to make up for gained advantages, bullets, money.

If these objectives are not met, they will lose a huge piece of their player-base, as well as a substantial hit on their revenue from donate codes. It will also let the players know that they aren't absentee admins. They will regain the players confidence. Which may be the most important thing needed for an active community.

I once wondered why they don't ban people, the answer is pretty simple:

The playerbase is shrinking already, there's not a big amount of new players registering and the rating of omerta on those top200 & top100 pages is very low (not even top15).

Banning people will only make the playerbase shrink faster, I think if omerta had the playerbase CoD had (like someone referred to), every cheater would've had a ban already. The playerbase is just too small for that.
no its cos its pointless to ban ppl they will just change there ip

I voted for "Close the current version till all bugs are fixed and open it again when they are gone! (No one loses RP / Bullets)" because I think it would be to bad if the players who actually played without bugs would suffer more from these egoistic bastards.

I did not like the war where we shot at righelli, but after learning how they managed to get so strong I'm ashamed we didnt shoot earlier.

But I'm not putting all the blame at Righelli, there are fams who have not been akilled yet who were most likley bugging worse than Righelli ever were.
always amateur cheaters getting akill
expert ones escape:')

Yet if they would have been much sooner with catching the bugs, there would have been a much larger players base. A shitload of honest people have left since 3.0. If the crew actually cared for the game (thus update nicely/listen to the players) and actually banned cheaters. I doubt many of them would have left, as these are the 2 major reasons why people have left.
