Instead of going somewhere else for a ranking program, Omerta Ltd is now offering to do it for you. Cheaper credits, no fear of being adminkilled, and Omerta Ltd makes money out of it! Only downside, every action costs a credit, regarless whether there are codes or not. 500 credits are given to all DM players to test some Lackeys out.

Every crime, car or busts costs one credit, and every try on booze and narcs costs two. The story goes that for every DC used for those credits, you get 3000, but not just DCs with real money are valid, but also the ones from Obay will do, which will probably result in a increase of the marketprice on Obay.

Spats does the crimes. 1 crime in every 80 to 90 seconds. The rankprogress is added to your account immediately. Once he runs out of the credits assigned to him, you get the money too. (On Deathmatch this is considerably less than you would have made on your own).

Noodles is the car guy. He does his thing in about every five and a half minutes. From the 'testers' results, no rankprogress is added at all, but carnick attempts are still added to the Work experience on the status page. From the results, the amount of cars stolen is really high, averaging between 7 out of 10 and 10 out of 10 cars stolen. But on the downside, several cars are taken away from that amount to get him out of jail. On a rare occasion, all cars are taken away from him. This still leaves the average person using Noodles with a higher amount of cars than he or she would manually, although no rankprogress is added. After half a day, Drunkengamer states that this is indeed a bug, and it will be looked at.

A script wouldn't be complete without a busting function, and Keaton is supposedly the guy to go to. But it is not sure what he exactly does. His credits go down very slowly, for example 5 credits in 3 hours, so it looks as if he is not busting like other scripts, but he's busting your other Lackeys out of jail. Which would result in them paying less in jail fees, which in turn would give you higher profits on their activities. Drunkengamer also confirmed this, Keaton is not supposed to bust actual players out, just your own lackeys.

After two days of Lackey-testing, instead of setting them to work for 'x' amount of credits, you now set them on time, which shows that Lackeys do indeed have a severe interval between their actions, as Noodles does 11 carnicks per hour, a manual ranker could have made 12.
But unfortunately, developers feel that Noodles stole too much cars in his attempts (regardless of the fact he usually sells half for that one time he is in jail), so he has been taken offline for the time being.

The four other Lackeys (of which the drug and booze running O'Rourke and Freekowtski are already displayed) are unavailable for the time being, but hopefully will be able to be tested and reviewed by us in the next day or so.

The omerta we know just died, becouse like this... whats the point of ranking manualy???

I mean.. everybody is "free" (not that free, becouse you need buy DC) to "script"/"lackey"!

and the manual rankers????

the manual rankers will always stay behind! I've been testing the lackeys for an week, comparing to normal rankers, and when I say normal I mean manual rankers, lackeys rank way above them!!

This is just stupid imo, this wont stop scripts, they will keep coming anyway!!! This is just another excuse to make money!!

Other words... no point to rank manualy anymore, whats the point now??? You will just waste your time, when most people that are ranking over lackeys!!!

Ps: Admins just put all automatic... anyway most people (all people in omerta) wont rank more manualy!!!!

I just agree with Brando that Lackeys have potential to replace Scripts. But I asked him what would that change for those who rank manual. Compete against Lackeys or Scripts isn't the same? And he has been refusing to answer this question. Who's lacking of arguments? :)

A weird convo between Brando and Kerdu (a scriptmaker), for those who try to ignore that Facebook widget with all their power. It may be an interesting read for some, that's all I will say about it.

No, then you could use ingame bought donating codes on DM (where money is usually plently with heists and stuff), and spend the credits on .com.

still think its stupid if you add creds on .dm f.eks and then you only can use it on dm.
should be added to the mail account. so if you add 3000 creds on .dm it should go to .com .nl or w/e other versions you play. aint that cheap of you need to buy for every version :p

This was me, Just forgot to change the name - while you guys are still tweaking this page (looking good btw) a suggestion might be worth remembering the name in that field between posts so that if your replying to multiple but dont want to log in you dont have to retype it all the time
I got this idea as well, after I saw that your 2nd post was under the default nick again. I added a task for it, I think I will work on it in a few hours. Thanks for your suggestion :)

There is something seriously wrong with Lackeys
10 carnicks, 1 failed. BUT the buster was able to help once. And yet, out of 9 stolen cars, 7 had to be sold in order to pay for jail. So much for the high attempt:success ratio everyone started out with.

that is indeed a bug and one that i am looking into - there is no way you should have had to pay that much in jailfee's particularly if your buster saved you - then you should not have lost anything

Just so you know the 2 Credit price on the booze and narcs are placeholder values that i put in while making the overall system work - it would be per attempt NOT per unit, and the lackeys will always max out your carrying capacity

However i cant go into much more detail about that, as I am not the developer working on those particular Lackeys - Fahr was working on them - and as with everything else to do with the system it is still very much open to finetuning and tweakage

Well apparently to those Facebook updates done by the crew, a dc will now be worth 3000 credits instead of 1000, and you will get RP if Noodles steals a car.

But we don't know what the b/n lackeys will do: do they charge 2 credits to buy full booze, or also narcs included? Or will they charge 2 credits per every unit they can buy? I assume it will be the later, knowing the admins, which will make this "solution" even more expensive compared to scripts.

2 credits for narcs, 2 credits for booze, as there are separate Lackeys for either task, making it 4. A script does this with 1 credit, or 0 if you don't have codes.
I understand that part, but knowing the admins, they may even charge the credits per unit. For instance, an assassin can carry 40 booze and 13 narcs. I wonder if they are going to charge 4 credits to buy those, or 106 (53 * 2).

My guess is that its 2 creds for each booze and/or narc ATTEMPT. So lets say you need 3 attempts to buy and 2 attempts to sell your booze, you'll spend a total of 10 credits (just for booze).

Add to that the need for Keaton if you want to make any sort of profit, and they have to make credits dirt cheap for it to be cheaper than scripting.

They say they are going to make Group Crimes more important. Good to see changes that allow people to achieve something in the game without playing/scripting 15 hours a day.

What you guys don't understand in "TESTING THE LACKEYS" part? Stop screaming it sucks, stop screaming it's expensive, just give it a few days, wait for new features and see how prizes will be adjusted. Idea of this is to be cheaper than scripts, so obviously, you fucktards, it will be cheaper.

Gosh, go turn your old Swiffies and Atremo's on and go to bed instead - don't post crap on this lovely new fingon page! :/

P.S. Good review, thumbs up

Just cause this will make people stop using 3rd party scripts doesn't mean scripting stopped.

Way to look away from the problem. I hope the money made from this will be put to good use and a real anti-cheat method is introduced. (And this lame function removed again!)

Otherwise they might as well legalize drugs, murder and rape to get the national crime rate down.

agreed

the objective for lackeys is to make them work for you when you can't rank, so imo actually that serves the main objective, that is to equalize the manual rankers to the scripters.

if you can rank lets say 14 hours day manual, you can use the lackeys to do the other 10 hours, that will be more fair and no akill problem.
