3.6 euro per DC now...lol.
Does this mean Eastern Europe and beyond pay about 80 cents for the exact same thing now?

I would pay 3.50-4 euro per dc if i buy it now, yes i live in eastern europe where i earn much less and pay the same amount of cash for dc like i would live in western europe, sweet !

im amazed how ppl still waste money in this shitty game

I'm amazed how people still spend money on cigs and drugs, I am also amazed how people believe that there is a man who lives in the sky and last but not least dopes who say something is shitty, but still need to come here everyday to remind us how sad and shitty we are.

Thanks for that o/

There is an online platform, I can't remember it's name, where you can "sell" downloads for free and ask for a tip/donation. They take the view that VAT does not apply to tips/gratuities. It seems like it's a bit of an avoidance scheme but he reality is, if the customer really doesn't have to give the tip, isn't coerced into doing so and isn't even given a rcommended price, then it really is outside the scope of VAT.

dunno how true this actually is.

While I'd like to believe that the crew is making shit up to rip us off, there is some truth to their story. I don't think the donation codes we buy can be marked as actual donations. It's a product, and they're selling it with the sole purpose of making money. Which makes it turnover and it should be taxed.

The mission of Omerta Ltd nowadays is to make money and anyone claiming that they're using their donation code income to do noble things is liar. The reason they never got looked into by tax authorities is probably because it's only a small company, but it makes perfect sense that they're being forced to charge VAT for donation codes.

What's weird about all of this is why they aren't charging VAT for other donating methods, would be nice to get a more detailed explanation about that.
Yeah, pretty much this.

There's been a few changes to VAT laws in the EU that went into effect in 2015, specifically for online transactions. This is most likely related to that.

Donations, in the legal sense, usually require some kind of not-for-profit status, which wouldn't apply to Omerta. VAT has to be charged for everything else, aside from a small list of exceptions which don't happen to include increased click limits or ingame money.

If you have ever dealt with bookkeeping for a company, you'll know that VAT is a tax that companies merely collect and then forward to the tax authorities, they don't get to keep it. The VAT rate in the UK is 20%, so for every DC sold at € 2.99, Omerta collects € 0.60 VAT which has to be paid to the tax authorities.

Yea that's basically it. I don't know much about VAT regarding online transactions but i do know you need a very good excuse as to why you're not charging it, even when it comes to "donations". I still think it's weird they only raised the paypal prices though, but there's some VAT exemptions when it comes to foreign countries, so that probably explains it.

All the reason I can think of, is that the other methods, are already vat inclusive, that is why we may have got the 500 bullets with each paypal one, and they got an interesting tax audit.

If there is/are 1 - 5 families alive, Hall of Fame winners will get Gold star and gold vouchers.
If there are 6 - 9 families alive, Hall of Fame winners will get Silver star and silver vouchers.
If there are 10 - 14 families alive, Hall of Fame winners will get Bronze star and bronze vouchers.
If there are 15 or more families alive, Hall of Fame winners won't get star nor vouchers.

After maraz falls, we are left with 15. Is that the end finishing number, have we set the record for the biggest pact? what other fams are on the possible chopping block

Just relax, so there is still plenty of time to war (before they even think about putting on the rom), 15 fams won't make it till the end for sure.

I dunno if the BF families count to the families alive shit... And the others lets see if they are Loyal or here to win a fucking star :)

just change the rules 1-3 fams Golden star
4-6 = silver
7-9= bronze

or only golden when 1 fam is standing :D

Until they place a retired LC/dupe account at the helm and shoot it dead. the fam counts as a fam. 4 fams down leaves us with 11. will 11 make it to the end?
