FB has a lot of users, but they won't get much success if they don't make a game the community actually enjoys. And they've been failing at that. For... a while now. People seem to enjoy the game less and less for versions, while at same time, Omerta barely does anything to change that (at least, anything that has an effect).

Scripting for instance, is one symptom of a boring and repetitive game. Sure there are people who script to get ahead. There are also others who script because, actually playing the game, is boring. Only IRC makes it less boring... Omerta has refused to address the underlying causes of scripting, while trying to fight the symptoms, and failing, since... 2.7, thats 4 years, that's a lot of time for trying to fight a problem and failing at it.

Anyway this is just one of the examples of bad decisions taken by Crew.

or just simply allow discussions on both sites, maximize the base. I see no problem talking about omerta on facebook. But yeah. I also know that a great many players refuse to divulge their FB info on omerta for personal reasons, including many ingame tops. Omerta forums should be just as open and freely used for game discussion. It seems Omerta is pushing FB though, which i suppose is understandable, from a business perspective.

Or that a lot of people simply don't want to divulge their identity to talk about a game...

Or that the omerta forums is a perfectly capable, or even more capable, medium for this discussing this, where people could do this while playing the game instead of logging in to a 3rd party site.

Facebook is for small chat, and small announcements, it's not for discussions...

I already posted on Omerta forums last version, about Twitter and Facebook, if he wants to use them, he can still use them, just make the discussions in Omerta forums, and link from Facebook/Twitter with a small description of the discussion... And while he's at it, get a better platform for the forum.
