Yes, kind of. The players did not come up with the rules. Also, the rules were not stated clearly on what is deemed acceptable and what is not. More than one family had players similarly strong to Iffet, so what were they doing that allowed them to live to this point that Iffet was not?

Lots of people cheat. Some do it thinking they have it all figured out until the admins inform them that it is not acceptable. I don't know what the admins saw, but I suspect others could be punished for the same thing - I for one sold a lot of DC's to family members over the course of the server, but I guess I charged a fair price (Obay price) and made sure to send the DC's via in-game messaging.
I think we can all agree on one thing - The Omerta administration needs to update their rules to declare what is not acceptable and stick to them. If the rules change, then there should be an update and some forgiveness shown when someone is guilty of undefined rules.
I understand that the coders are short handed and it may take time to fix certain bugs, but it should not take any time to update the rules and send out a warning to abide by said rules. I think a lot of confusion could be spared in this way.

I don't know why we're arguing about this. The attackers decided to attack after Gambino and Marazzino were admin killed. Those kills changed things suddenly yesterday. We don't know whether or not those dons deserved to die more so than a lot of others who are strong, but it happened. It's a lot like Lusa's situation last server, only these kills resulted in the shooting rather than being caused as a result of the shooting.
I don't believe the attackers are particularly proud of what they have accomplished, nor do I think the defenders should feel any less diminished. It was just another bad situation caused by untimely admin interference. If the admins had acted much earlier, bloods would probably have been divided differently and things might have worked out more evenly, but it didn't. What can you do? You choose to play this game, so accept the lost time/ money and only continue playing if it's fun for you.
As for me.. I'm having less fun that I did 6 months ago. The game play is monotonous and the banter here is weak. I would rather argue with someone like MurderInc, but instead I get people who resort to childish name calling - which I find boring. All in all, the challenge is not there (in-game and OB).

To all omerta players, the ones that like us and the ones that hate us. Putting the strategies aside and rivalries we need to agree that this is an unfair decision not looking to improve anything.
After all the effort and investment we've putted in this version, it's at least disrespectfull this type of decision. There has been all kind of bugs every single version and this one i dont feel has been more abused than the others.
Honestly i don't care about all the interests behind this decision and don't want to have a conspiracy theory. What i ask to omerta players is despite the side that you are look at this as if it was you in this situation and then judge.
The players make the game, so the players are the ones that have the power to change it too if they stop fighting for a moment and unite for a fairer game.
After saying all this and with a injustice feeling in my heart, I can say that if this decision remains unchanged, it's a lack of respect for the amazing burguesia warriors, so Burguesia will go retired, maybe it will make some happy, but i'm sure it will not benefit the game.

No matter how you look at it, a top 3 from each family got caught cheating. You guys are obviously not the only ones. But let's not try to sugar coat the admin kills. We know what a bug is and the penalty for taking advantage of it, rather than reporting it. Much like traffic citation in the real world.. Everyone runs stop signs and speeds until they get caught, then they say it's ludicrous that they got punished because everyone is doing it.. That doesn't mean that you or anyone else doing it was in the right.

It's really sad that some people invest so many efforts into making the game unfair. I don't understand the mentality behind cheating - especially to the extent of being able to buy 5 times the number of bullets that one would gain through competitive play alone. I would be more ashamed of having to cheat than losing.

The crew needs to extend punishment to everyone who receives benefit from an admin killed account. They should take away capo money, family money, family worth (unlocks if necessary), and they should check the IP on other servers to see what type of play extends to there. I know.. It's too much to expect.. but they (the crew) need to cover as much territory as the cheating taking place.
Aside from the point: How can I complain about cheating without playing the victim? That's a conundrum..

It is disheartening to know that one must invest time into multiple servers and rely on another "individual's" participation in order to remain competitive with the overpowered accounts. Especially when the advantage is coming from back door negotiations on foreign servers, which do not require people to speak the one language that I know. Essentially, because of my nationality, I have much fewer options to receive boosted funds for bullets and donation codes. It is a discredit to the Omerta Staff's integrity to knowingly allow such an exploitation to occur while obviously not being a part of the game's coding or design.
Back to my first point: Just because someone is playing "legit" (having one account) on .com does not prevent them from duping without care on another server for the purpose of "trading", which equivalences to being pushed by multiple accounts on .com in return. Essentially, by doing this you only risk being admin killed for duping on the server you were not really trying to compete on in the first place.
