Akills sometimes occur at the worst times imaginable and often have a great impact on the server outcome. What do you think should happen in cases like these?

I think some transparency would go a long way. For example, this is what the crew on .dm does for every akill:
It might be a good idea to even automate the process of revives - whenever some account gets akilled, admins immediately make the decision which of his kills are entitled to get a revive, and whenever one of the affected account logs in, he has the option to revive his previous account. I imagine this would even save the crew a lot of work in the long run, since right now whenever we see akills for top accounts, they receive tons of mails from people who don't actually know who killed them, which they then have to check as well.
And of course, get rid of the silly 3 days limit for revives (which seems to get ignored by most of the crew already anyway.)
Rollbacks, imo, should be used only for fuck-ups on an epic scale; something that leaves the version in a state players can't be expected to continue playing. While the akills on Avaritia surely had some effect on the outcome of the last two wars, we're probably talking about 20 brug+ kills spread over 2-3 families (mine included, by the way), so a rollback doesn't seem appropriate to me. You ought to weigh the injustice those families have experienced against the injustice a rollback would cause to those who shot with legitimate accounts as well.
Additionally, since we don't (officially) know the reason for those akills, it's not even clear what kind of effect their cheating had on the outcome of the war. While I would absolutely agree that duping could have an effect, if they were "only" akilled for something like sharing accounts, I don't think anyone could argue this would have completely altered the war results.

other option would be to find a way to punish there fam remove some unlocks or so

I would say once you akill someone, check all the kills and shots that specific person has done or received. Also look very carefully into his money flows. For example: Avaritia had a couple of their most important accounts killed. Even by just reviving those who got killed, there will still be accounts who lost 60k when that person shot at them. They also lost bodyguards in that case. Bullets and bodyguards that could've been used to kill a different bruglione or to defend yourself with from other accounts.
Another thing is money flow: all the money these accounts got by cheating was not needed to come from their family bank. This means other legit accounts became stronger because more money was available. Think about the avaritia don emptying the family bank to get 1 mil+ bullets. Even look into the money these akilled people sent to other people.
Also: right now avaritia quickly finished off colossal after these akills. The reason for that is they know revives of colossal are coming. If those accounts were revived immediately colossal would've had their most active successors still alive. Next to that if these akills were made in the start of the version, avaritia might've lost this war, looking at the impact of those who got akilled (3 capo CDs making over 35 shots is big).
Right now even if you revive all those who got akilled, the cheaters still 'win' because they downed a family by cheating. I wouldn't be surprised if avaritia would just quickly try to shoot Aeterna tonight to make sure their revives become useless revives. If Aeterna gets killed tonight those revives of colossal/Siberia/Aeterna people become close to useless.
You might even say a rollback is the best solution for this problem. Maybe we shouldn't look at one solution but look at multiple solutions. For example; 1 akill without any influence, just revive the killed person. But when families die, more than 15 brugliones should be revived or when 100s of millions were used by cheating a rollback could be handy.
Last but not least: can we get an admin that has some authority during the weekend too? Jeez.
