You don't actually think anyone has to shoot Traffi to win the version, right? Gambino knew they were gonna get shot at some point, so they decided to make the best of it and shoot as much as possible before that happened (something Traffi and a lot of other fams never do ...). And they were obviously prepared for this, seeing how pretty much every fam not directly blooded to Aristocrats/Milieu (that's not a whole lot of fams :D) helped them in one way or another.
