According to the crew, we will have a reset Wednesday 21st of may at 10:00 omerta time.
4 days ago the crew opened the Rom (Reset o meter) where one could vote if you wanted a reset or not. Earlier versions the Rom have had to pass 70% to force a reset, but this time it didn't. When the voting was over it was only at 62.92% with 482 persons voting FOR and 284 persons voting AGAINST.
What is the point to open a RoM "so you can all decide if you want to reset this version" (Their own words) if they will just reset it no matter what the outcome is?

1. We work on improvements all of the time and there are always several strings of discussion to this end.
2. Omerta's worst sickness is it's age – it is still stuck in web 1 in many ways and though the community and concept are fantastic *in spirit* the interface needs a lot doing to it before we can hope to retain casual first-time visitors – we have analysed data which proves this beyond any doubt. Sadly the game source is extensive and the necessary improvements have not yet been delivered – but this too is a work in progress and some parts of it can be seen in the current Pt version and will be rolled out to the others once these are proven to be secure.
3. Omerta's greatest strengths are its community and its team, whatever you might like to say under the tatty cloak of anonymity. I value both and consider there to be more similarities than differences. After all, crew are ex-senior players as are our sysadmins and devs, most of the time.
4. It isn't run 'into the ground' we just opened a new office and hired two new developers and are advertising for more developers and hope to appoint an art director in the coming weeks.
5. I never outsource statements out-of-the ordinary to *anyone* - some of your ideas defy rationale! You consider me 'reticent to comment?' – right...

I/my team = too busy to enter into 'immediate discussion about all of these' but I can tell you:
1, 2, 8 are actually being worked on right now.
3. - need more info, please.
4. Is 'sort of' being worked on with something more like 7, but to achieve the same end – actually retarding automated accounts (not just scripts but lackeys too) and dupes.
For me 11 is a little bit murky. Can you recall the suggestions please and maybe post them in a concise list?
PS. If you are going to call me names, have the cojones to log in with your own, chickenshit!

Ill jump in for 3. He means that the villa now gives FULL defense points the moment you go offline. Do you remember the fancy thing you implemented a few versions ago, where the villa would get stronger the longer you are offline? Bring it back in some shape or form, because people are going offline again in wars like in the old days.

Most of my friends who tried omerta really got pissed of the click-limit. It's a really, really outdated concept and makes alot of new players quit again. It's not 2003 anymore, find a different way to make donating attractive, apart from the lackeys.

We don't want the RoM, and we're not idiots, we know why it's still being used. It's because you guys don't keep track of your own game to even know when a reset is needed. Thus you just throw up the RoM and people vote depending on whether they personally want a reset, not whether the state of the game dictates that a reset is necessary. Saros is right, you can't say you implemented this feature upon our request while simultaneously ignoring every other suggestion to improve this game for the last few years. There is a definition for this; being an arsehole.

This would be a decent start to giving us what we want, not the RoM. Please don't act like you're doing this for us, when really it's simply to make your jobs easier.
Once you get started on that list you can then address a more fundamental issue with the game; your relationship with the players. I don't know if you've noticed but we don't like the admin. We don't like your arrogance, we don't like your ignorance and we don't like being treated as though you're all doing us a favour just by doing your job (voluntary or not). Players can be dicks sometimes, this is true, suck it up. It's called customer service, we're all self entitled pricks and you still have to put on a smile and treat us politely, it's how business works, because at the end of the day - we're the ones giving you money.

Why did the game reset with a RoM outcome of only 62%, while it's supposed to be 75%? Why did you run it if Teckna or whoever decided to push the button was going to overrule the players anyway?
And finally.. Every time I hear stories about new so-called developers making you all sorts of fancy new stuff while your game is full of cheats and bugs. Maybe someone at the Lisbon office (probably Kcode's house) or the actual office should put some time and effort into that, huh?

Most of my friends who tried omerta really got pissed of the click-limit. It's a really, really outdated concept and makes alot of new players quit again. It's not 2003 anymore, find a different way to make donating attractive, apart from the lackeys.
