Pt = under new management already for 3 months and growing.

DM = under re-development as a quite different game

Tr = very popular with players who don't often speak Ynglis (of course many do, but it has the highest proportion of players who cannot)

Nl = remains as popular as .com but I don't see you suggesting that we close .com

Erm - no I wouldn't, for the following reasons.

1. That would be unethical towards colleagues and players and I am an ethical person.
2. Although I am the company's boss, I am not its sole shareholder and I feel fairly certain that Paul, Kcode and Fahr would object. (not to mention UK company tax auditors police, court and prison service etc...)
3. This would be an unsustainable short-termism approach whereas I have kids at school and rent to pay etc.

BTW where does this figure of £300k (€300k?) actually come from? We have been offered £75k by the UK govt if we can create some jobs and we need to find £150k to be entitled to that money.

We don't 'need 300k' - just if we can *find 150k* we may *have 75k* - naturally an app can be made for a whole lot less than 75k but we see an opportunity to appoint better personnel for a much smarter long-term plan.

I don't know what your value system is but mine is not as you seem to think. Maybe that's just 'what you would do'.

If you want good omerta , just turn off all other version expect .DM and .COM
You will get quality people from .pt .tr .nl on one strong server which is .COM , stop separate people on other servers and put it all in one strong and quality .COM

Maybe the crew should start delivering on their promises first before asking 200k.

To be fair Brando, you certainly have acted like a little kid on the forums. Each time someone criticised you about stuff, your norm was to call them names,
saying they didnt know what they were doing.

One example is last version, when you came back from wherever, and started making huge changes midway, like the removal of RP from busts.
This created MASSIVE anger from the community, and people that voiced complaints were banned from forums.

I encouraged people that felt they had been wronged, to complain to paypal for the dc's spent to get cash and buy of of jail constantly the first days.
Our way of saying we were outraged of the major midvers change, and the only way we felt we could actually be heard: Hurt the moneyflow.
-This earned me a ban from forums, and a personal mail from the allmighty Brando, where you said: "Dont encourage people to complain.
I banned you now, but if you dont stop you will receive a lot worse!" I responded to you in a polite manner, about my concerns about being threatened, and you responded:

(Yes, we feel like customers, since we pay for the game, and its not possible to play without "donation"codes. )

The second thing I wanted to take up about that forum thread last version, is how you continued to put the blame on your employees. Like: "

Whenever there is something wrong, you throw one of your crewmembers under the bus with lame comments like the one I just showed.
OR when you guys just gave a voucher after the 5hour downtime, where the people with lackys on when the servers went down, basicly gained 5hour ranking on those which didnt.

I hope you understand why we all are extremely sceptical when you suddenly come around and want 200k $ from us, when your trackrecord is, well, horrible.

You have a history of throwing former employees under the bus, when things didn't work out. Calling them lazy or incompetent in front of the players.
DrunkenGamer was probably the only person I can remember that did get thrown under the bus.
Was it Goku or somebody else you claimed was fired for being incompetent and "acting like he owned the company".
A more recent example of that attitude could be seen on the Android thread. Where you again put the blame on a single former employee. I wonder if those were your "friends", too.

To be fair, regardless of what your actual title/job is in the company, you are seen as the head of Omerta ltd, and the way you have responded to criticism of players in the forums sometimes is just an honestly a very bad representation of anyone working in a company that is 100% depending on its players. The game already has major issues with the amount of players, and putting up such attitudes towards the current players is not really going to convince them to stay.

I get it if you say you're just a fat writer from Hull and not a real manager, but then at least try to hire someone as a community manager or something, that can make sure there is proper communication between crew and players without the grumpy attitude whenever they criticize something. That's just my opinion though.

Current game dynamics are not sustainable and the game's structure and economy need revision.

Moritz and I were in the office. The company employed He, Paul and I on very low wages and he said 'Alex has just made himself 'Lead Developer' on IRC and in the game credits.

Mo was peeved so to alleviate this I said 'Then put that you are the founder, I am CEO and Paul is CTO'

We know that an app can be developed for less - if you have a plan. We don't need €300k to do that - but if we can raise more money from the RGF, we can achieve more.

An app needs properly planning and very good devs are required. You can't do all of that for 30k - not properly.

The RGF money is very heavily audited and could not be put into a retirement fund or my pocket, a speedboat etc. It can only subsidise audited costs. Some new PCs for the office, training and salaries - not much else.

The stuff about scapegoating is nonsense too - the buck stops with me. We had some personnel who were not competent but I hired them and I dithered about firing them. I am soft, basically.

But then I just explained that I am also not really the right person for the job - this is why I always try to get the community in on design and decision-making. I'm just a fat writer from Hull.

Very lucky to have my job. Yeah I love it.

Scapegoat Kcode? I have him a share in the company. He is part-owner. He and the team his is building are the future of the company IMHO.

KCode appears to be one of the few capable guys actually working there.
