You cannot blame top10 fams for being there and not being involved in every war before.
Read again my post i wrote in caliente's tread:

"It is funny how "descendants of the honourable (but dead) families" bash on families like asfu or samagono for shooting late in the version.

Samagono, i believe they had only 3 or 4 of their core group in the beginning. Others were more or less retired. And Fusion were at similar position.

Now in this situation they obviously had 2 options. One is to shoot as much as possible with your weak fam (in this case, a fam that also is hated by a lot for not being weak in old times like 2.9) and get killed right away (and don't boo me here, small fams putting their noses where they don't belong always get killed). Then see the last members leaving (leaving the game, not the family) just because they lost interest.

Another option is try surviving and working around to recruit some new members, maybe find more friends, expand the core group, train some newbies. In short, invest in the future.

Of course, there are fams like marazzino, vaffa, krays and others who have big core groups and there is no problem for them to grow 50 brugs at the same time and shoot alot. Good for them.

But there are also fams, where every highrank promotion is a big event. And none of such fams ever expanded by blindly diving into slaughter.

I am more than sure those fams would definitely love to throw 30 brugs into an early game war. If they had that possibility.

In short: this is a mafia game, and nobody said this is a frag game. Some families have targets to become most shooting family of the round (the same asfu-memento won this award in 2.9). Other families love building alliances and then making huge wars. Some families want to make an impression, and die with honour (like bringing down 3 bigger fams). But there are also families, who have a purpose to train/gather more players, or otherwise they are gone from the map. So they shoot late. And that should be respected as their choice."

This, i believe, also suits to describe Merovingians (also a big family long time ago, now lost 95% of their rankers and have to live as long as they can, to grow/train new ones). Same about HA. Dunno about Complexio.
If they shot in the beginning with their 1-2 brugs against 30 brug fams like vaffa, vinci and so on, they would not last a month, and they would simply lose interested members and cease to exist. Now they might not be the fighting example of this version, but next version they will already have more people from the start, and a better chance to make some difference.

In my view this version is over. There is a very low % online people during the day & night. Ofcourse it has been lower then usual througout the version since everybody uses lackeys to rank, but after some (irc) channel surfing last night, i noticed that even in the channels of the bigger fams (which are still up) they hardly have 10 members in their channels.

I dont think this version has a clear winner, although Xzone and bloods probably have a different opinion. From half of the fams in the top 10 I have no clue what they are doing there. To name some, Samagono, Merovingians, Complexio and just outside top 10 HA. When you look at the livefamstats on this site and compare them to omertas own the stats screen you can only conclude they are fully loaded with bullets (but have no clue what to do with them). None of these fams are blooded to Xzone. So I cant say the version is locked.

I doubt these fams are capable of organising an attack on Xzone nor do I think Xzone will shoot these fams. Knowing admins dont like to reset, as they say it screws up their planning its very well possible that this version willd drag on for 2-3 maybe even 4 months.

Although I dont think there is a clear winner of this version. You can say who did good (as fam) and who didnt. My nominees are:

Winner: none
Best new fams: Presidential, Carneglia
Most active fams: Presidential, DIG, Carneglia, Leviticus, Kurosawa/samurai alliance, Vinci
Dissapointing fams: Conflict, Krays, Coccada, Vaffanculo (as in expected more from them)
Lmao award: Krays, claiming to be an aggresive fam, without shooting for a long time and going down very fast in the first war they participate in.
Funniest fampage: Turkuz with their We dont buy no dc's anymore.

Im sure I forgot to mention some fams, and im sure people will disagree with some of the nominees, but I am curious who you would nominate.

the top 10 fam list right now is one gigantic joke... the biggest part is seeing fams like complexio and rochester there :') didn't do anything this whole version... yea they shot a few targets in a few wars... nothing that they led...

Dunno, haven't seen the kills of Klementino or the others within the fam. The fact is that they withdraw from several wars before finishing...

They always took highest rp accounts and have great leader in klemetino who is a big inspiration for all of them members :) complexio rly shot very very much

They shot perhaps in many wars, but always stopped before finishing their targets or before the war was ended. So, nothing special to brag about...

Way I see it, HA is nothing but a shadow of it's former self.
I doubt HA will ever shoot with more then 3/4 brugs, because they simply cant get more online.
If they'll shoot at all, which I doubt.
