Busts are counted towards account strength, so I don't think this is an option. Also, in the current format, all is equal. If you choose to bust, you choose to run the risk that you will be killed by some asshat who has nothing better to do than kill low ranks. On the flip side, as a ranker, you run the risk that some asshat kills you just because his tops tell him to or because he wants to improve his strength. Both routes carry inherent risks, but this is a mafia game... not WoW.

In my opiniun they should change the whole ranking vs busting thing.

Let people choose in beginning between ranking or busting, if you choose ranking you wont be able to bust yourself of someone else out of jail and won't be able to shoot at busters.

If you choose to be a buster then you can only bust and travel and shoot on other busters, and do special crimes with other busters/rankers to earn money for buyout.

Seems like you are a creative, smart person. I advice you to channel your energy and time to something meaningful. Not a dead game that even its owners gave up on.

Fair enough. But still, if players would not cheat and mass pact they would not have to do anything like that.

Would be fun with some new features though. One thing that I would like to see is that you had to rank you character in skills as well as strenght. (Don't know what to call it but by strenght I mean the ranking as it is now).

Some of the skills could be driving, leading, explosives, guns/shooting, war/tactics, economy, law etc etc.

Depending on which crime you do you get skill points, just like you get rank points.

And all these skills would have strenghts and weaknesses.

E.g. account with high explosive skills could have an advantage in killing offline accounts because he can use his skills to blow up the villa. But then he is not so good at killing online accounts because he is not so good with the gun. And maybe he is easier to kill when he is online because he can not defend himself as well as someone who is skilled with a gun. This just an example. Of course it would have to be more complex than this to not make one skill superior.

This would make the game more complex and everybody could choose different ways to go with their charachter depending on what kind of a game they want to play. And not like it is now when everybody just do the same thing and every account is pretty much the same.

Would also make families more complex. Different kind of families with different strengths and weaknesses depending on the players in the fam. More planning etc. Not just random invite a bunch of people.

Unfortunately this will never happen. Still, in my opinion, it would be fun.
