Probably yeah, I started playing on very end of 2.2 but didn't know for irc. I knew pretty much all the big names before my time just from talking to other people, but this was 1st time I heard for Silone. Sure it doesn't help that we were on opposite sides in wars most of times. Was that his irc nick or ingame back then?
Cause don't get it wrong, things come and go and unless someone is really well known and constantly using same ingame/irc nick people will forget. Even then there's chance of others taking it.

I mean I know I wasn't 1st Johnny, even though I never met guy who used nick before me (nor I knew much about him, I just know he existed) and after my nick dropped I saw some guy from Turkuz registering it and using it after I retired. It just happens people do it knowingly or without knowing, there is no point to get frustrated about irc/ingame names.

However for families it might be different. If family left it's mark in game it's really rare that someone starts completely new family with old name, that's just asshole move. I doubt there was no one to tell these guys that Odio used to be big name before.

seems that turks players know very well about history. They just don't have honor and starting steal names. A little example. A noob liberta top some versions ago if i recall. Pickachu started playing with the name Silone. You don't have to be noob to know that Silone is a legendary name used by silone.

Odio has been a part of Lucchese, it never got upped again since the amount of players in the game dropped drastic. just like squad hasn't been launched for quite a while now. Members of Odio are certainly Lucchese members.

Odio was never a big part of lucchese, as far as I know Odio was also set by new commers of other fams like pericoloso who ran to lucchese after internal troubles.. but im not sure of that.
