The best way to bring back players and bring back more then 10k players is to stop all other omerta versions .tr .nl .pt .fr .de .no
Just go .dm and .com , and if players from those countries wanna play on they language just give him options to put there acc on they language and that's it . Don't split players in 5 versions of game . DM for testing and COM for competition . This solution is good for both the administrators and the players . More players = more money for them , and for us more interesting and more fun and competition spirits .
That is kind of wrong, altough i agree with your point that its a good idea but it wont bring in more money, it will bring in less money so admins wont agree on this untill there is like 100 players on all version.
Because some people play 2/3 versions, meaning they buy 2/3 dc's more instead of just one for the version they are playing. And Brando is money hungry so he wont agree.
Question is, if the expenditures to run more versions is higher than the decrease in income if you just create two big versions.
Somehow I (believe the running costs of a version are a non-factor, if so your argumentation is valid.
I fairly believe they have one server, as all versions servers are hosted in Canada that server can probably take 100k players and as u know all servers together dont even have 50k players so its probably much cheaper.
They have been running this for 10 years, even when there weren't that much dc's (no lackeys) sold they were still able to make something out of it otherwise Brando would never have thought of buying this crap.
So in reality they are making alot of cash, after a reset i estimate they make 300-500euros a day on .com minimum.
I don't think it's much cheaper, either way. They have on server on which the versions are run, they can't reduce it to 0 servers. So this 1 server is there no matter how many versions they host.
What other costs do we have. Crew. No, I won't rant on how properly incapable and lacklustre they are. But let's see. Help deks are volunteers, thus they get nothing. People who actually get paid are developers and programmers, and version managers like bramble and the almighty CEO as he calls himself fills his purse (obviously). And with the amount of dedication they show towards .com the supposedly biggest and thus most important version, I dare not to ask how their work looks at the other smaller versions. I should guess they spent even less time on those (if possible). So in short, what I wanted to say earlier. I think one version can in theory decrease your expenditures, but looking at omerta, I really think there's not much of a difference between running 1, 2 or 10 versions. The proside for players in one big version would be, that the paid crew members would actually have more time to spend on one version (theoretically). But for Omerta Ltd. it would just decrease the income. I fully agree with you.
Agree with you , but take a fact on a long terms , they lose players from each version they made , with each reset of game , they got money on a start of version and then money going to drop , so in 1 max 2 year game will be totaly dead , so what is better , bring people back with a less money take , proportionally , 10k players buying dcs (1 big version ) , better then 300 players per version (6 version) = 1800 , just dont tell me , are you crazy there are more players , we all knows that are all dupes or teamviewer players ...thats are fact for one way or otherwise game will shut down in next 1 year or max 2 ...
