With the current retrain speed, nearly never you'll see BGs on obay. It's just not worth the effort.
Though Mike is 100% right there, You have a shitload of defense already from market stuff, when you get shot with 5 defense Guards, the BGs that get killed won't be the BGs with the highest amount of def (Lee) but most likely Vic and Lex or Ike.
The amount of Defense you'll lose by only being able to retrain 15 lvls instead of 20 lvls compared to your overall defense amount is pretty much neglectable.

In fact I care to argue otherwise Changa. Everyone shot at such time intervals that does not manage to survive is a bad player. There's nothing wrong with being a bad player, most people here make the silliest mistakes that get them killed or simply never bothered to learn how to play. Nevertheless I would relish the opportunity of getting shot so much at such a slow pace, and making people waste all their bullets.

as for shooting ISPP prolly not a bad move, I wouldn't be surprised if they did have plans to shoot you guys, but in the end it seems you both got played in a tactical way

They are sneaky dudes, but very experienced and I guess we all thought we could benefit from the bloodship. Plus, it's also good for the game, if it's always same bloods and same enemies, the game gets too dull.

I clearly stated original pact, not first pact ever and it clearly says the one from 3.3, the one ppl have been wining about for ever since they won that version, also referred to as the "pussypact". You seen ppl still talk about Cobras the last couple of versions perhaps ? Besides I clearly mentioned the Liberta issue in 3.4 and you do know they where part of a totally different pact, right? back in the days when they where still playing against the CCCE guys ...

The big thing that changed is the way that families value their bloods and such which obviously differs very much per familiy nowadays. Probably the biggest difference is that some families are trying to win the whole version in 1 war.

you just seem to forget one thing: back in the glory days of omerta if you had a group like that pic shows, you certainly did not have half of all the highranks in the game available ... I don't know 1.0 specifics cause I never played that one, but 2.0/2.1/2.2 there were plenty of pacts/alliances/blood groups it just didn't split the game into 2 sides, like it almost seems to be the case in current versions.

As I remember like 13 of those spots where just bought to get a CD for shooting purposes and most were 1/2 member spots all controlled by a few tops, kinda smart use of the (too much) available spots that version. well ISPP started as a solid group of players and decided to make an alliance devided over several fams instead of being just a single fam.
Pentagram=Karadeniz=Cascio=Alamut + Janissary=ArmyofAngel + Purgatory=Moria=Blutrache + Ihtilal=Lioni + Turkuz started as individual fams/groups and decided to form an alliance, so yeah there seems to be a bit of difference imo ...

Then it was called the massive Dutch duping army which in fact it was not, just a reasonable .nl players base that decided to play .com for a change. Anafarta alliance did win the version in my oppinion, they had most impact on the game. They started helping to shoot at Gambino and Psycho's. They got rid of Anadolu, who already wanted to close the version. They got rid of Blacksea + haramiler who already wanted to close the version, they got rid of Maraz (eventho not everybody likes it, they are a big family). In the end they now also got rid of Nazdrovia.
Pentagram didn't have this much impressive wars as Oblivions did have. Also the wars Oblivions fought were way more close in amounts. The only real big family Pentagram shot was Krays and they shot them after Krays had 3 wars and were shooting the 4th time in 1 week! All Penta did was counter.
So in my oppinion Oblivions is the clear winner.

yeah right keep telling that yourself bro ... If you played the 2 versions before this one you know those fams were top 5 or even top 3 on the fam list with huge amounts of members. Besides luchesse which still had the same amount of players they had last version, none of the fams you mention were on top. Most significant example of lacking members this version was Marangello, they weren't even top 10 I think and that says it all for the mayor members of those fams taking a summer break and not just a couple of the top not being there ...

Delete the LastRun folder and you have a new 30 days to use mIRC without problems.

With this headquarter system it would be nice to see a version with 10 or 20 families.

I don't think that would happen, because certainly many players would be unable to create their own families on the beginning, so by the time the first war was over there would be many players willing to fill the family spots recently abandonned, reopening the game.
Besides it would be nice to see some small/medium wars for spots (which I think would be fun since there are no more medium wars these days) and we would avoid all those annoying sister families.
I also think that with fewer families the blood relations would have to be changed, what in my opinion would be positive for the game.
maybe that would work if the fam rank/unlock system didn't exist ... each new fam that starts is way behind on the existing ones. just ask yourself when was the last time a fam that started halfway thru the version made it to the end on the winning side ;)
