Here we go:

2.8 was beginning to look unpopular and badly-concieved.

Many complaints about timing
Also about some of the features
Little time to test
Some crew and colleagues on holiday
etc

So I have taken a big decision (after consulting with my colleagues - crew and devs, and Oyaji, following all of their hard work so far).

We will reset at noon on Tuesday 11th December

The version will be 2.7b

There will be almost no changes yet... but during 2.7b we will talk with you the players about what we should change... what we should keep and how we should do it all.

That does not mean that a 51% VOTD or #1 spot in USMS will mean that YOU get your way... sometimes it will, sometimes it won't.

But perhaps better than 'just changing it all at once'.

Usually we don't change things during a version... but once upon a time we did.

During 2.1 we did just that.

And it all went quite well actually. So we will try that again.

Some people will call this 'U-turn' mad and will think that we made a mistake.

We did. I did. It is my responsibility and I am sorry if you don't like it.

I hope that you like it though, and that during version 2.7b we can have a lot of fun together and find out which changes we all want for the NEXT version... which will (I guess) be called 2.8

I hope that you support this change of heart - it came following MANY complaints and suggestions from players. We do listen...
