Fellow Gangsters,
In the last few weeks we have been preparing some exciting changes to this new round of Omerta, which starts next Friday, 4 February at 12 OT.
Lackeys 2.0
- You need to fire your lackeys to be able to get the protection from the accommodations;
- You will remain “Alive and Online in the last 5 minutes” if you logout with your lackeys hired; but your online timer will still stop counting when you logout.
- Your lackeys will use your own pocket money to complete their job.
SMS notifications
- You can now receive SMS notifications even if you are online
Sluggs & Local Bullet factories
- The sluggs have been caught by the feds and will spend the next years in a maximum-security prison;
- You will need to buy your own bullets if you want to have some fun;
- You can only buy a total amount of 24.000 bullets per day in the Local Bullet Factory but you can archive this amount faster if you work on your raceform;
- Your cooldown will also decrease if you buy less bullets than you can (min 10min, max 60min).
- The stock on the factories is limited and prices can change depending on demand.
Plating and Killing
You can get your plating back 24 hours after a shoot if:
- The target is famless;
- The target is member of family with activity under 30%.
Accommodations
- You can't rent an accommodation if you are under 48 h protection;
- The minimum rents will be changed and the price will adjust to match the activity of the city;
- The rent will now be paid at 18:00 OT, and will be collected from the bank as before.
Minimum rent for accommodations is:
- Villa: 1.000.000
- House: 500.000
- Apartment: 100.000
Family's Bullet Factory
- We decided to increase the amount of bullets that can be produced on Family's Bullet Factory.
Family Activity
- Families don't receive any profits from spots if the average activity is under 60%.
- The Family Bank will reset and be disabled if average activity of the family is under 30%.
Travel & Kill Pages
- Rebuilt and more mobily friendly Travel page with relevant information about each city;
- Kill page is also completely renewed with some new and exciting features that surely will help your gameplay in the wars. Now you can hire multiple targets at once and your detectives can be automatically renewed.
'Richer than God' got a new meaning
- We decided to adapt the Wealth Ranks to the current reality of the game: All values were multiplied by x10. Note: To be Richer Than God, you need to have more than 150 million in your pocket.
Overall Position of Players
- We decided to make public the overall position information of all players. Stats can be found on the 'All Users' page, and inside each player's profile;
- The Top3 players will have a special effect on the profile.
Other changes
1. Bank:
- The money deposited in the bank automatically goes into your pocket after 24 hours. It is no longer necessary for the user to open the page.
2. Obay:
- Anonymous auctions are now taxed at 20%. The rate remains at 10% for non-anonymous auctions.
- When you're biding, you can now keep last option selected (Anonymous / Non Anonymous).
3. Forums:
- To spice up the game in its various moments, we now allow players to comment anonymously on Forums, RIP Forums and Omerta News.
Bug fixing
1. Plating:
- Fix the bug where plating disappears 48h after the first drop;
- Leaving a family (or getting kicked) will reduce your plating to Very Low; after rejoining a family you will gradually get it back.
2. Family Bullet Factory
- The bullets received from Family's Bullet Factory cannot be sold on Obay.

The forum change is all or nothing in my opinion.
I anticipate a rise in the forum use, and probably more of a witch hunt like Redspeert looking for Mcgee here will occur ingame. Assumptions will be made, McGee will post under
his nick like usual constantly and would say something no different than most of the spiteful anonymous posts will say and he’ll get blammed as usual since 2006 that he is the anon poster.
I don’t think General Forums will be alive much. No Pils and Spamfam makes it bonedry only mcgay skitzo posts there. If Pils and Spam family return the amount of attention the forums will generate with anon replies would he big. The culture of the game is rotted out in the haul since mIRC is dead this
outta help it much.

Like the great McGay once told me … along these lines at least… People wont post in forums cause they think they seem weak for showing a sentimental or perhaps weak side by exposing their thoughts to the public. The housewives who play will think you are a little child for not being stronk quiet silent type in public so no travel butt fucking and also you dont want to get meme’d in the face harder than what them Russians about to do the Ukies. Or something like that.
