Well, if there's any consolation, at least no one can blame you for falling for such a never before seen, historic swindle. It's not like anyone could have possibly predicted this Shyamalan level twist.
It's hard to decide who should be more ashamed in this situation, on the one hand it's difficult to see anything but cowardice in the people who fall for this crap every time, regardless of whether it's blind hope, arrogance or simple naivety that drives them. On the other hand, there is something equally contemptible about the people who show up once a year, tell half the game they want to be their friend so they can comfortably get rid of the other half, and then proceed to dispose of said 'friends' with all the subtlety of a clown at a funeral.
In the end I think I've got to give it to the omerta dingleberries, for if it wasn't for their collective desperation, the painfully obvious tactic of massively overblooding followed by a slow and steady cleansing of all the unwanted, dried up turd flakes buried in their arsehair, would not work.
