A massive wave of a-kills floods the streets of omerta atm, appearentally it's because a bug abuse has been discovered.
Though the action was undone right away since some people in between were unrightfully akilled along the giant wave.
because there were a few people on the list for comparison
and they were copied in the kill
we undid it right away
All accounts are now being checked one by one and akills will follow.
The surviving Aeterna accounts are currently shooting/suiciding at the Salvato family. Reason behind this is that they claim someone in Salvato were part of "leaking" the bug.

I can see your point, but I can also see why the admins punished them, too. If those akills of your "innocent" members leads you to stop sending bug money to them in the future, then it was actually a good call by the admins. And the problem is, they benefited from your bug, too. And that's something you can't really deny.
And crew banning people, we hae seen in the past (profestum) how effective those measures were...
Anonymous at 22:47:09 on 07/06:
I agree, I'd be more mad at the bug abuser too but if you'd trust that person or believe someone is actually a good gambler then you would have done nothing wrong. If they'd have received 100 mil a day, yes. But we talk about BM which was not even close to that, hence I think an admin kill for that is not fair towards a player that did not do anything. If they want a real punishment, then they should be punishing me and if its not enough they should punish me harder with a ban or whatsoever.
Anonymous at 21:59:49 on 07/06:
Well, if I got money from somebody in another family, whom I don't know, then I still have the chance to 1) report it myself to help and 2) transfer it to some admins account, likesay bramble (probably the behaviour admins want to encourage).
So yes, if I use money for bullets, then it's also to a certain degree my responsible to check where the money comes from. If I get akilled for the bullet money I receive from my family, then I would actually be more mad at the senders than the admins.
No matter how you try to spin it, your members received money, they were not supposed to have in the first place. So they benefitted from the bug, too.
Anonymous at 20:42:58 on 07/06:
Like I said: what if I'd send you money now and then and you don't really know where it comes from, you'd agree on getting the admin kill?
Anonymous at 20:00:25 on 07/06:
yes and no.
I guess Admins wanted to send a clear message and punish the entire family, including the members who benefited from abuse, without abusing it themselves.
I can see why they did it.
1. The vague hope, that cheaters will think twice before dragging other players into their bug abuse. (we all know that is not gonna happen).
2. Encourage players to leave certain families, so they won't get caught in the crosssfire. (also not gona happen).
3. Those players also benefited from the bug. So why should they go unpunished? That they hould at least have lost the money they received from you is kinda nobrainer. I mean they received heavy cash that helped them build a stronger account. So they have an unfair advantage over players, who did not benefit from the bug.
Next time just "lose" the bullet money in poker to your members. :)
Easier way to laundry money.
Anonymous at 19:14:33 on 07/06:
Nobody disagreed on getting akilled. The difference is: people who benefitted also got akilled. You agree that if someone (anyone) would send you money and got akilled later for any cheat, you should be akilled too? Even if you didn't know anything about this bug or proxy dupe abuse? If so I'm gonna start duping and hand out money to players tomorrow ;) also some families benefitted from cheats in their bloods their family, all akill too?
In my personal opinion some people shouldn't have been akilled and only first hand cheaters and their dupes should be akilled. Next to that he said righelli was unfair removed. Which they were. Only 1-2 righelli people used the bug and they didn't even play when righelli won their version. So it's funny how people here and admins say 'they were the same people' when I think most of you don't even know who actually got busted for this bug.
Anonymous at 18:44:39 on 07/06:
So people got benefits from your bug abuse, so why is it that you disagree then?
Anonymous at 12:04:03 on 07/06:
The bug was found the version after the Aeterna win. Removing that one from the Hall of Fame is just the crew being sore because they just expect that if you cheat now you've done it from the start. But like previously mentioned we never played for the Hall of Fame so they can take away whatever they want, taking Righelli away however is a bullshit move. Like Aart has said, him, Elky and Aeshma ran Righelli that version and were unaware of the bug. To be more precise I didn't even play that version so I didn't make Righelli profit from the bug that time. Yes, three Righelli tops got akilled this time, however that doesn't mean that they were all aware of the bug. Same with all the Aeterna people that were killed, only half knew about the bug the rest was unaware since we just sent them BM pretending to have won on poker or selling DCs, why would we tell how we got it?
Anyway, we got busted, time to move on. This was Xerano speaking, have fun playing now 'all' the cheaters are gone
Anonymous at 11:19:03 on 07/06:

Anonymous at 08:58:57 on 07/06:
Aart, neither Italian- got busted using this bug though so what does it have to do with this conversation? People claim it's righelli who got busted but there were only what, 3 righelli people that got busted?
Anyway I get what you say when you think they have evidence when they remove the stars.I personally believe they did that because we cheated this version 'we'll remove all their fame' as some sort of 'payback'. This bug is surely as old as 4.2-4.3 but back then we hadn't found it yet and didn't use it. The stars are removed not based on evidence but on emotion, it's also the lack of evidence which causes no #2 to be pointed out winner.
Next to that, when you claim the #1 cheated and was not the rightful winner, how can you crown the #2 as winner then? The #2 often works together with the #1 and most of the time had huge advantage of the 'cheating' families. If it wasn't for those families the #2 would've catched a lot more bullets and probably wouldn't be #1.
Conclusion: they removed the stars because they're angry and they did not do this based on evidence. It's not like it matters because the hall of fame is not of any importance in the end (faffie has no credit in the hall of fame while they surely did win a version for example). But if you remove the #1 you can't replace them with the #2 because those had direct advantage of the #1.

You can't base things on 'it's pretty safe to say they cheated because they got busted now and survived a war then'. I got busted now and that's fine but I also remember the version in which righelli and lucchese used a healthbug. I survived 10 shots on my account but was never informed on this bug. I was 'left out' of the people that used it that specific version. Yet even though I did not use it and due to surviving 10 shots people accused me of using that bug too. Lol, removing the HOF and stars but not actually banning those fucking cheaters.
This game is dead. Admins are not in the slightest interested in catching cheaters and dupes. It's OK for them if they stumble upon a bug but they dont care enough to actively search for them. Especially dupes..those dupes use donating codes and make this shitty game look more active than it actually is.

Admins are paying too little attention on cheating overall. I personally think the admins care far too little about dupes. Players and admins underestimate the amount of influence dupes can have. There are dupers that make equally or even more money I could with the bug and make more money than the average bug found.
Yet most of these dupers are never caught and if caught the dupes often get akilled but the main account stays untouched. As if the duper cares about his dupes, these are just the money mules.

but Righelli survived due to immortal accounts. And guess who the owners of those accounts where? Marquis (busted for large scale duping) and the folks that got akilled in Aeterna now. So yea, I think it's safe to say that they managed to survive that war and win the version with cheats.
'It's pretty safe to say' mentality. Most people don't even know how this bugging works and think it's complete families that do it.

Aart Vs. Fenrir
But if you remove the #1 you can't replace them with the #2 because those had direct advantage of the #1.
those 3 righelli people weren't they tops ?
So people got benefits from your bug abuse, so why is it that you disagree then?
So it's funny how people here and admins say 'they were the same people' when I think most of you don't even know who actually got busted for this bug.
Like I said: what if I'd send you money now and then and you don't really know where it comes from, you'd agree on getting the admin kill?
Well, if I got money from somebody in another family, whom I don't know, then I still have the chance to 1) report it myself to help and 2) transfer it to some admins account, likesay bramble (probably the behaviour admins want to encourage).
So yes, if I use money for bullets, then it's also to a certain degree my responsible to check where the money comes from. If I get akilled for the bullet money I receive from my family, then I would actually be more mad at the senders than the admins.
No matter how you try to spin it, your members received money, they were not supposed to have in the first place. So they benefitted from the bug, too.

So are you saying they won those versions without this bug? Apparantly crew knows they cheated else they wouldn't have remove the famous hall of fame..
Imo they should remove hall of fame anyway.. But this bug fucked this game for several versions and tbh i don't completly blame those players who did, but to say that they don't whine about their akill is fucking logic.. How can you complain when you used it for several versions?
but Righelli survived due to immortal accounts. And guess who the owners of those accounts where? Marquis (busted for large scale duping) and the folks that got akilled in Aeterna now. So yea, I think it's safe to say that they managed to survive that war and win the version with cheats.
'It's pretty safe to say' mentality. Most people don't even know how this bugging works and think it's complete families that do it.

Aart Vs. Fenrir
But if you remove the #1 you can't replace them with the #2 because those had direct advantage of the #1.
those 3 righelli people weren't they tops ?
So people got benefits from your bug abuse, so why is it that you disagree then?
So it's funny how people here and admins say 'they were the same people' when I think most of you don't even know who actually got busted for this bug.

So people got benefits from your bug abuse, so why is it that you disagree then?
So it's funny how people here and admins say 'they were the same people' when I think most of you don't even know who actually got busted for this bug.

Well its common sense to suspect known cheaters whenever a bug shows its nasty face.
In Most cases that can be solved as their is data.
If topplayers from previous versions happe to be bugusers...well you have to question how long was the bug known and if they might have used them previously.
It might be unfair to punish that sometime later but the suspicion still stands, not denying that.
Its the same mentality with the famrivalries...there is no evolution...everytime the same fronts with nearly the same results.

Is it? In the past they used to have policy 'ever get caught cheating means you can't apply for admin'. Because a big share of the omerta players has been akilled before they now have a different policy on that. It's also one of the reasons they don't ban people who were caught cheating. The player base would shrink even further.

Imo they should remove hall of fame anyway.. But this bug fucked this game for several versions and tbh i don't completly blame those players who did, but to say that they don't whine about their akill is fucking logic.. How can you complain when you used it for several versions?

I find it a little more obnoxious that they claim a version is won by cheaters, without having any data, and therefor remove the ''win''. and in one of the versions (the one aeterna actually won), faffie was #2 if i remember correct
MurderInc at 14:11:41 on 06/06:
According to #help, data for previous versions isn't available anymore. In other words, they don't know who ended up being second in those versions. (Yes, I lol'd a bit.)

So do the #2's of the versions won by cheaters now get their rightful position in the almighty hall of fame? It kinda looks like the Tour de France outcome between 1995 and 1999 right now.

but Righelli survived due to immortal accounts. And guess who the owners of those accounts where? Marquis (busted for large scale duping) and the folks that got akilled in Aeterna now. So yea, I think it's safe to say that they managed to survive that war and win the version with cheats.
'It's pretty safe to say' mentality. Most people don't even know how this bugging works and think it's complete families that do it.
I understand what you are saying, but admins took their famous star away and removed the name of the fam.. Says enough. For fun reading ( and to make yourself a bit angry for investing a bit of rl cash, this is fun to read now.. http://news.omertabeyond.com/1635,4
Aart Vs. Fenrir
But if you remove the #1 you can't replace them with the #2 because those had direct advantage of the #1.
those 3 righelli people weren't they tops ?

So people got benefits from your bug abuse, so why is it that you disagree then?
So it's funny how people here and admins say 'they were the same people' when I think most of you don't even know who actually got busted for this bug.
