3. Ho-hum, it's the old/new KA...
The KA is totally re-written as a bunch of digital variables. Before the re-write it was 9 pages of quite elaborate math & we are really quite proud of both the old version and its replacement.
The problem with the old version is that each time we changed it, this required quite difficult work for a developer. Now it is re-written, making small changes should be very easy.
What will we do with this?
We will, bit by bit let you make changes yourself. To begin with we will offer some VOTD changes, probably ? though these can be dominated by cheats. The longer term plan is to permit re-birthing players to make a small change to one parameter ? for example defence will be stronger or backfire weaker etc. Eventually we hope to hand over 'organic control' to the player community. Let you work out for yourselves what sort of KA you want for each version. Look out for VOTDs about this.
For the present time, the settings of the KA are just as they were last version ? this is so that you can test the new programming structure. Of course we tested it too ? but there is no substitute for player-testing.
