It doesn't seem like you're understanding what I'm saying. The new VAT laws made it impossible for online businesses to skip charging VAT completely (independent of where a customer is living or where the company is located). It also says that the VAT rate should be set depending on where the customer resides.
You've gone from "OMG THEY RAISED THE DC PRICE" to "OMG THEY NEVER CHARGED VAT BEFORE, AMATEURS". Can't have it both ways.
Other payment methods might have VAT included already, or might be subject to different regulations, no idea. They might also charge lower fees and have less of a chargeback risk compared to PayPal, which would be taken into account when the price is set.
DenWatts at 11:07:49 on 07/04:
Thanks understand that. but if my purchase, in the UK same as the game has gone up by 20% for VAT then it should have included it for years. if it has but it has gone up by the same again that raises questions, if it hadnt more questions.
I really worry for who runs this game.
MurderInc at 10:49:47 on 07/04:
VAT certainly isn't new, but the VAT rules for digital services changed in 2015[1]. Before that, there were many loopholes, especially for services sold to customers in other countries. The new rules state that the VAT rate of the buyer's country applies. If this came up in an audit the tax authorities did for FY 2015, then that would match with the timing of when they started charging VAT. (The last bit is just speculation.)
Donations, as legally defined, are limited to not-for-profit organizations, which isn't the case here. Just because it's called a donation doesn't mean it's not a digital good that's being sold, so VAT laws apply here.

I know you know this, but, VAT isnt new, certainly in the UK where the game is based. Also you arent buying a service you are donating which is why it wouldnt have previously applied.
MurderInc at 10:28:40 on 07/04:
They started charging VAT, probably because of some new EU-wide VAT tax laws that passed a while ago. Businesses merely collect VAT for the tax authorities, they don't get to keep it.
DenWatts at 10:16:02 on 07/04:
I guess to keep them in the lifestyle to which they have become accustomed selling less they need to sell what they can for me. Pity they seem to spend it on magic beans and sit in the dark singing lalalalalalalala I cant hear you.......

They've been raised up by like, I guess 21%, something to do with taxes now having to be paid as well. Ask the bright minded MurderInc for details. But yea, they've gone up quite a bit and we're expected to strive forward without complaint.

So who's ready for another round of Omerta where we need to pay more money for DC's with a larger chance of suffering a suicide? \o/
They've been raised up by like, I guess 21%, something to do with taxes now having to be paid as well. Ask the bright minded MurderInc for details. But yea, they've gone up quite a bit and we're expected to strive forward without complaint.
Pocket Money: $58,344,220 ($33,416/user) Bank Money: $11,163,010 ($6,393/user)
If this is right... We will have the same shit problems like ever
How is in this game after 6hours so much money really just one person explain it to me pls 59m + 11m wtf
Yea.. he's tripping lol. There's nothing wrong with these numbers.
Probably doesn't realize people don't even really make empty suit accounts to ghost. There was always like 500 to a 1000 of them at one time In this games history which would've made it much less. Haha to lazy to use my name who gives a fuck anyways.
