Take it in own hand.. Just stop buying credits.
Now most people just feed the highest ranks/top fams and blame short versions on the lackeys.
Face it: only a bunch of people reach the top, the rest are just meaningless feeders for those accounts.. its still your own choise to be part of that.
And spare me the crap 'no time because of a real life' most lackey rankers are 24/7 online anyway.

If I get 3 Euros (or whatever a dc is worth), everytime somebody makes that stupid suggesiton about removing lackeys I would be one happy camper.

Exactly. With more families alive, they'd be able to have more time to re-rank while the families alive squared off against eachother. Especially with no other version to run to once your first account dies. Like someone said in the "Christmas Carol" topic, these bloodlines are fine as long as there are another 60 families up to fight.

There's no language barrier. People already play .com in different languages, how have you not noticed that? It could be as simple for the admins as allowing a player to pick the language they want to play in, instead of forcing them to addons or scripts to change the text. Open up more cities, obviously a Turkish mobster family in Turkey is going to be speaking Turkish. It's not a barrier at all.

I'm sure the major issue would be the finances. Though with the way Omerta is heading, I don't really see a major growth in the playerbase in the near future so combining their scattered versions into 1 is a great idea imo.

Again I have to agree with you here. People want to keep on playing but when they die their focus goes to a version in which they are alive.

If .com was the only version I'm quite sure a lot of people would make a new account to rerank. I only play .com and even if my version is quite hopeless I sometimes have 4 accounts every version.

I think the difference is the finances for omerta Ltd.

when ppl die .com, they go to their version.
for example only few ppl will rerank from turkish fams that die @first war
same goes for fams like impact & lusa, they have .pt fams that they can continue to play

Well, the only way this version could be interesting, were if one of those backstabbed the other.

Doesn't history tell us this isn't a good idea? We've regularly seen fams coming from another version to .com. Usually they don't live that long since tactics on .com work differently from other versions (up to a point where it seems certain other versions don't even have any tactics at all - but I can't really judge, since I never played another version). By the time new players would be used to the style of playing .com we've had two or three versions and good part of the players changing to .com will have left the game.

That doesn't even mention the problem language might pose yet. There really are people out there who don't even have a basic understanding of english. Which would make playing .com a tad hard.
