3.1 at .NL I had 10 GF/FL/CD (only don's could be CD allready then ) and around 35 brug kills, and the version was over after 3.5 month.

you dont need to explain any facts, winners of the version are fams that are alive when reset is announced, when they didnt start less then 1 month prior to the announcement, theres limits, but mostly you can call winners to whoever played most of the version and is alive in the end.

Brando is a man of words, not a man who keeps his word. When brando introduced lackeys he also said they would make ppertunities for players to gain lackey credits without paying for it (filling in a questionnaire for example). Anybody seen any of this?

Next to that Brando said he'd make lackeys for free if scripts would also be free, now I have the feeling the prices for a dc have gotten higher over the years. Soon scripts will be cheaper than lackeying. Next to that if lackeys would be free none would be scripting.

To be honest i got extremely bored with omerta, i was for a long time already but if before i could endure playing not to lose contact with some ppl.. now even the comunity doesnt cut it, its a dull game run by dull ppl that in all this years managed to fuck the game more than improve it. I was always against side versions for me the best versions were the first ones with everyone together without side versions, there were more ppl, more variables, more scenarios that you had to think of. So when brando announced the possible closing of side versions that could be a nice change, a nice injection of new blood in a version that really needs it bad.. cause atm everyone knows which wars are gonna happen and when. It seems tho that .nl is reseting so continue the retiring it is. Have fun everyone, whoever still manages too.

Its not an if or situation, and i guess Brando realised this and decided to allow .nl to reset by faking the requirement meter over the past couple days.
The 'registrations needed to reset' gained around 10 times as much in the past 24hours then it did in the past 5 days before that combined.
So yeah, they faked the hell out of this.
And its understandable really, pushing a reset after all that drama before the mark was hit would have been a massive shame for Brando (and his friends) and basically removed any power from their words for the foreseeable future.

The main fact remains tho, sure you could close .nl/dm/pt/tr and gain a few players for .com.
But alot would just quit.
Alot of people just play to play.
Its not like all of em would suddenly switch servers because the subversion they used to hang around disbanded, your looking at a substantial loss of players (and thus income) thats a hard pill to swallow for Brando.

And even if they did, its not like everybody would splinter into new fams creating tons of new excitement and 'sides'.
Hell no, you'd end up with .nl vs .tr vs .com etc.
.nl already had a few combination fams on .com during offtimes/boring versions and all of those wrecked havoc (and most likely completely changed those versions) in the forms of Invocandi, Quirites (prolly spelled that wrong) and even a big part of Marangello last round.
And that was with a small fraction of the .nl playerbase, now imagine 100% of it behind a strong top crashlanding here (since thats what people here seem to want).

It would just turn into country vs country rather then fam vs fam, and while maybe thats not a bad idea to refuel Omerta as a game it would require alot more work then just closing a couple 'sub' versions.

The crewmembers I've spoken to always indicate that at least statistically gen.tr is by far the biggest sub version, although I can understand it seems small when you don't understand the language or know anyone. And in contrast to .com everything looks small no doubt, and surely all other versions that had a summer reset struggled for activity. Perhaps you are comparing the summer gen.tr to past versions of .nl/dm?

Anyway, I really don't care to argue about it. Those versions suck balls and that's end of discussion. :$

This is false information. I played gen.tr this version, and the playerbase was smaller than both .dm and .nl. Not that .dm and .nl is big either tho

Didn't they (sadly) announce that they would reset .nl anyway? I think most people here agree those versions should be closed, but I can understand that the people who choose not to play .com won't like being forced over... Based on player base however they have no viable right to continue though, only gen.tr has a reasonable amount of players, and although .nl and .dm fans would like to make it seem otherwise, the truth of the matter is they've become as irrelevant as .fr.

On the other hand, omerta has commonly used those side versions as a testing ground for .com and we will undoubtedly get even more shit if they close them down... so keeping the retard versions running does come with benefits for us!
