Cheaters always been here and most still are. Game is outdated and real people who did manual rank took off because they didn't care enough to play that garbage.

Agreed. All of your words a valid. I never played 8-10 yrs ago. I've only played the game for approximately 7months so I can not comment of past gameplay.
However, one common factor between 'generations' (lets call it that) of players is decision making. Sadly, decision making and the glory of more than just ranking/shooting and having a good time with random peoples clouds most of the player's judgement. About 5% of TOPS can strategically place their family in an advantageous position to progress and develop. The other 5% are just worried (no offence), unsure of what do and concerned of making a bad decision to the detriment of their own family.
Pacts-alliance (whatever you want to call them) ... they are alive and will always be alive. Some will come and some will go.
Just comes down to astute decision making and a 'bit' of trust. If you make more GOOD decisions then BAD decisions you progress a lot further. Simple mechanics.
I am not saying this is the art of war, but it's pretty close to it for this game.

Indeed, looking atm at some profiles of tops of the so called 'bigger fams' (=those who merge aso) saying 'the version is closed' says enough ... very soon all those so called bloods will shoot eachother to get in that 'hal of fame'. As for me it's definitely a 'hal of shame'. Let them be happy with it. Nowadays nobody seems to know anymore what bloodship means.
