You are confusing cause and effect. But since you guys probably killed quite a few braincells during your "war meetings" in that Internet Cafe of yours (I am assuming it still exists), I will explain it to you.
You won a version because so many people retired, they did not retire because you won a version.
See A (people retiring) leads to B (You guys actually winning a version).
Cause and effect, really not that difficult.
Anyway, you managed to keep a decent sized family after almost everybody else retired. That's why I said +1 for tenacity. Ok, that family of yours consists to huge degree of dupes, but that's what most fams do. So the +1 for tenacity stands.
Anyway, so your gelding won a race or reached the finish line (with so much overblooding going on, I have a problem calling any fams "winner"), but the game is so dead, that the other horses competing are so malnourished that they almost collapse just carrying the saddle.
