Latley certain elements of the irc crew have struck down on trading money/dc's/hp's etc. between versions by closing down channels and claiming it to be illegal.
I have been asking around, and none of the ones I asked could tell me that this was infact illegal.
What do you think about this? With a shrinking playerbase trading between versions will generate extra accounts on each version, and it gives players a fine opportunity to generate a bit of extra cash.

No, if you argue under the assumptions that each server is a distinct playing world, cut off from the others. Ofc in those worlds exist no bugs which create cash out of thin air neither.
I guess in the past the crews turned a blind eye to the money trading, because that way they could charge a .com player twice.
Like I said, ridiculous to enforce it now, while the other versions are probably in equally dire straits

I personaly don't trade, but... this is bullshit!
There's nothing illegal doing trade between versions, since people are free to do watever they want with their money, not to remind that this is a fucking game, there's no rule or law that say what they doing is illegal!
Is just Admin bullshit!
No wonder the game is getting less and less people to play... been saying for a few times... soon admins are playing alone! This game is dead as dead can be!

I thought that trading was indeed forbidden, but nobody really cared to enforce it. I've seen irc bans in the past for it, but that's about it.
Reason why it should be illegal, you are creating cash for a specific version out of thin air, the only difference between trading and duping to make cash is, that somebody else runs the "dupe".
That the crew starts to enforce this rule now is something between hilarious and pathetic. It would have made sense, while there were still other active versions, as other versions probably die at least as fast as .com, well why even bother now?

Why do they even care about this? I earned my money on .nl, I can spend it as I see fit and if I need some .com cash who are they to tell me I cant trade?
Idiots.
Idiots.
